That was so badass....

My only complaint is that everytime we have seen Castle Black before this battle, it seems the size of a pea. Then the wildlings come barging into the courtyard and it's the size of fricking Montana.

Tyrion: escapes to Essos, rides pigs, finds Faegon, etc

He also meets up with Jorah. The biggest thing here will be: Does the show hint at the Blackfyre theory, or does it validate Aegon VI? Also, they need to absolutely hit a home run with casting Aegon. He is tPtwP...

Arya: goes to Braavos, becomes Cat of the Canals

She should have some good dialog with Mr. Miyagi. I bet she starts killing sooner that the books, because this doesn't happen till her last chapter in aDwD.

quote:

Sam: leaves with Gilly

Don't forget that Aemon Targaryen goes with them.

quote:

Cersei: refresh my memory on the trial and whatnot

Actually, there was no trial in aDwD. Next season will focus on Cersei's rise to power, plotting, and downfall. aDwD ends with her waiting trial; and meeting Sir Robert Strong.

Sorry about last night, but I stand by with this being easily the most disappointing episode of the series.

As I said, I'm sorry, got way too emotional about it, had too much to drink, even if I am really disappointed the episode didn't end with Stannis.

Brienne: meets Lady Stoneheart

She should have some bad arse fights before that. There was one in a ruined castle where she takes out three bandits with Oathkeeper. Then she gets nearly killed by Biter.

And don't forget that she also meets the Grave Digger. That could be epic.

quote:

Sansa: ?????

I expect her story to change quite a bit in the show. Honestly, not much else happens in the books except some plotting.

quote:

Dany: banging Daario non stop

I wish they would focus on the fighting pits with Dany. That would make a sweet set and would add a bit of action.

We can certainly look forward to Melesandri sexy time..

The one from True Detective was an 8 minute continuous shot that was shot in 1 take. One of the best scenes I've ever seen in a TV show or movie.

That was truly fantastic...I remember I kept thinking it was about to end when I was watching it but nope, it just kept going, and going, and going......

Who is at the top of your hit list? I would like to see these characters whacked in this order:

1-Bran Stark
2-Jon Snow
3-Dragon Lady

Hodors yeah lets kill off a kid who can warg into dragons and the potential one true king of Westeros.

It's been a while since I've finished the books. Can someone remind me about Ygritte's death. Did Jon kill her in the books or did he jsut get glimpses of her while he was on top the tower shooting and find her after? I don't remember how that went down but I know it wasn't like it the show did it.

Also, anyone else like Tormund talking about the She-Bear story last night?

It was a nice nod to the readers, but I wish they would have let him finish it. They haven't developed Tormund's humor nearly enough in the show.

The only thing different between the show and books is that Jon finds her after the battle in the books, he doesn't see it happen. But she dies in his arms and says the exact same things.
