He bitched that one season might have too much Arya based on the previews they showed.

How anyone can bitch about too much Arya is beyond me.

I know I never said that. If I'm not mistaken, I was concerned that Season 3 wouldn't be entirely focused on Arya, when I wanted it to be. I've never bitched about too much Arya. I'm 100% positive of that.

One of the worst episodes ever of GoT. And it's not so much that it was completely bad, per se, I just wasn't a fan of solely focusing on the battle for 50 minutes. But I guess since they've been building toward this for a while they felt the need to give it an entire episode.

Bitching that this show doesn't focus primarily on one character all season may very well be worse.

I think one of the problems with the episode (which is not the show's fault but it still was a problem IMO) was that it was at night and everything was so dark that it just gave a murky quality to the battle scenes.

Also, the attack from South of the Wall was nothing like I envisioned. I seem to remember Jon and a couple of others being on top of a small tower shooting at the wildlings with bow and arrows and the burning of a staircase to prevent the wildlings from having access to it. Here it was just a huge scrum or melee (apparently the GoT's universe is totally oblivious to the advantages of fighting in formation which most armies have known about for thousands of years) which provided some good individual scenes but overall just lacked the focus to be really good.

Seriously, can anyone say this episode is even comparable to Blackwater?

I don't know many episodes that would compare to Blackwater. I don't think it was as good but it certainly wasn't terrible. And I thought it was well done with the constraints of TV production.

Why is that your standard?

It's the big battle for Episode 9. I don't see why it wouldn't be the standard. My personal favorite episode of GoT is actually "3x05 Kissed by Fire".

I don't think this episode was terrible, but knowing what I do about the books... come on!!! We all know they can do better than this.

Go back and watch black water, the directing and cgi were way better in this episode.

Does anybody think we get out of book 3 after next week?

I don't. And I think that's a good thing. The show will need more than 7 seasons. I don't know why they keep out pacing some characters though. Like Bran and Dany and Sansa. Their stories are waaaay ahead and in Bran's case almost at the end of book 5. Whereas the Wall's storyline probably doesn't even make it out of book 3 after next week

I would normally think this was a great troll, but the fact that I rarely agree with you makes me think otherwise
