So you didn't even realize they killed Pyp (which they focused on in more than one scene) and Grenn and you're criticizing this episode down to the detail?

They clearly didn't emphasize it.

There was a relatively long shot on Pyp with Sam. It was quite noticeable.

the frick?

the showed Sam holding Pyp like 3 times and for like 5 minutes

the fricking Jon has an entire scene where he talks about Grenn holding the wall, closes his eyes, then tells Sam to burn the bodies

So showing Sam holding Pyp as he died and then in another scene afterward pretty clearly doesn't spell it out enough for you? Jon closing Grenn's eyes at the gate?

Go to bed before you legitimately lose all your credibility here.

Pretty much explains your derailing this thread.

FYI, I've been drinking all fricking day

ETA-and I've finished the episode.

This episode sucked balls. I'm sorry but the wall is just not holding my interest.

I'm sorry, but how much better would this episode of been if they combined the invasion of the Wall and Tyrion killing his father?

then you would have complained that they hardly spent any time on the battle at the wall

rewatching it. of they would have included anything other than the wall, the battle doesn't work at all.

fight fight fight, talking in a dungeon. fight fight fight, tyrion in the tunnel. fight fight fight, tyrion kills tywin....

it doesn't work

Exactly, wasn't OM bitching about black water or one the episodes last season exactly like this?

I think I may have been bitching that they didn't end "The Rains of Castamere" with Arya taking an axe to the head, but I think it was relatively minor compared to this since they did that episode well.

OML , man you're just way off base here. IMO this episode set-up plays very well.

I'm thinking that much of what we think will happen to outlying story lines will be pushed to Season 5.

Considering this was supposed to be a Blackwater type episode, no.

He bitched that one season might have too much Arya based on the previews they showed.

How anyone can bitch about too much Arya is beyond me.
