Also I know a lot of book readers are in here because you want to see how we reacted to it, but someone else posted this and I'm in the same boat so I'll repeat it. I want to read the books and would appreciate it if the differences between the books and show weren't discussed. I'd like to find that out for myself. I saw a little bit of that earlier, but I haven't read the whole thread yet so I don't know if its still going on.

Just a heads up

This ep fricking amazed me.

At different points, I thought it was gonna go all Disney and shite with Bran being found by Snow and Arya walking into the wedding to be reunited with Robb and Caitlyn only to see the shite go dark, dark, dark.

Amazing.

show did a bad job of developing Robb this season. I thought they should've given him more screen time so that people would care about him more.

All they did this season was develop him as an idiot. Or a 15 year old, which I guess in theory is what he's supposed to be right?

If you don't have the most bodies, or the most gold, you shouldn't be marching around calling yourself a king and going into known hostile environments.

Now it all makes sense with Arya showing mercy on the old man. Starks are all about honor, mercy, and righteousness but I see things turning very dark for Arya now. And with Tyrion saying the North will never forget I expect Sansa to hear about this and take a chance at creating some anarchy

Sansa is a Beiber fan.

She is a silly bitch.

Arya is the Stark that is gonna wreck shite.

I knew what was coming with the Red Wedding, and my heart was still pounding while watching it unfold.

And that's all I'll say in this thread.

Eta: I'm only on page 12 of this thread, but it was obvious even before the show started that there are some readers posing as nonreaders in here, making "guesses" about what will happen. They cleverly include some other bs in their "guesses" to disguise themselves, but many of us can see what you're doing. I won't call anyone out by name, so as not to draw attention to their posts, but if you are one of the offenders

Eta2: and I purposely made this post in response to someone who is not a suspect.

Sansa seems to be the only Stark with a lick of sense, which I can't say I was ever expecting.

I would really enjoy it if Arya got a Richard Harrow in the Whorehouse kinda scene in a few seasons.

Underrated part of the episode: Cat still slit Frey's wife's throat even though he clearly didn't care about her. His cold "I'll find another" statement definitely wasn't a bluff.

I know that all of it is getting screen time because at some point further down the line it will become important presumably, but I do not give a rats arse about anything not happening in Kings Landing at this point. The scenes, characters, and interactions there blow everything else on the show out of the water.

So, how does this event bear on the Littlefinger storyline? He was sent by TYWIN to marry Cat's sister.

I don't think Littlefinger knew about Tywin's plan to kill Cat. Tywin probably knew he would try to stop it, so he sent Littlefinger off while it went down.

So maybe now Littlefinger will want revenge on Tywin for killing his lifelong love (Cat). Maybe he will plot against him by helping out... Dany?

Or, maybe he plots with the Tyrells against the Lannisters and helps them take over. He gets Tyrion killed to marry Sansa, which gives him a connection to the north, and the Tyrells thank him for his services by giving him a lordship in the north?

He's been gone too long and I fully expect him to show up with that shitty grin and force some major plot twists.

Bran, Any children Bran may have, Rickon, any children Rickon may have, Sansa, and children Sansa may have, Arya, and children Arya may have, Jon Snow.

The way they ended it, with the guy just stepping into the shot, slitting her throat and stepping out - fade to black, was fantastic.

Just watched it again. It's really hard to watch the guy stab Robb's wife's belly. That's the moment when the certainty of their deaths hits you, and it's a really disturbing thing to see anyway.

Yikes. Well, for the foreseeable future, the Lannisters have a tight hold over Westeros. Dany is too far away and Stannis has magic but a ragged army.

I agree that Balon Greyjoy's days are numbered. I watched the trailer for next week and Theon's sister is in it. And we haven't seen Theon since they cut his weiner off. I expect some kind of "here's your gutted, dickless son and now you're dead too" or something like that. We still don't know what the frick happened to the rest of the Iron Born.

And can I assume that the season will end with a third wedding? There are 2 more to go.

Unless he feeds military info (which he probably doesn't have direct access to, but I suppose could find ways to attain), I don't see how Littlefinger has much power right now. Yes, he's "powerful" and very smart, but he has no troops. Cersei showed him how that works out when he was bragging about his power, then she had all of her bodyguards point their swords his way.

RIP Mother and boy.

Just finished the episode, I'm really upset how that all went down. Does this mean we have to look at fat samwell ever more every week?
