so who's the line of succession of the STarks?
sansa,arya,bran, and other child?
Technically, Bran is up next, but everyone thinks he's dead. If they knew Bran was alive and he became the heir to Winterfell, Rickon and then eventually his son (since Bran is not able to conceive) would be the heirs of Winterfell, which would make Rickon more important to keep alive than Bran. For everyone else though, Sansa is the heir to Winterfell, even if her brothers are alive right now, so now Tyrion is technically the Lord of Winterfell.

Maybe this, but why can't she go back to KL? Her sister is pretty important there now

No. It wasn't.
This thread is fun though. So much enmity between readers and non- readers. My comedy for tonight has come from this thread in bunches.

HOLY frick
My buddy who read the books accidentally told me Rob died when he was drunk once, but I NEVER expected all this shite to go down. frick. That may have pissed me off more than Ned's death.
Guess gotta hope now that Arya and Bran tag team to frick up the Lannisters

I mean. One of my theories was that Robb's wife was in on it. I only knew Robb would die. Another was/is that Cersei and Tyrion were gonna team up somehow and kill Tywin for his arranged marriage shenanigans.
But honestly, I expected everything that happened tonight except for Robb's wife. I don't see how Robb could die without Frey's cooperation, and Bolton never tells him that his brothers are alive. I thought she'd be in on it too and before they killed Robb, she would say something cold-blooded about how his child would rule Winterfell.
Actually, I might have liked that better.

Seriously, frick the Freys.

That was bullshite. I was kinda hoping that Rob would still have a son who could maybe lead the North one day but I guess that idea is fricked now

Are people really that upset by this?
I'm just a show watcher, and I don't see how anybody could be emotionally invested in these characters. They're set pieces for the action, but they all spend so little time on screen because there are so many in so many locations that they're just pieces on a chessboard.
I watch and am interested in which pieces move next, but I couldn't be less affected by the body count. And I don't know if it gets to the same point in the books or not, but the slaughter of seemingly important characters like clockwork really lessens the impact of using it as a plot device.

show did a bad job of developing Robb this season. I thought they should've given him more screen time so that people would care about him more.
