Arya doesn't know, but the Hound at least has some idea that he betrayed Ned.

Arya and the hound? Sure, they are happy couple. She even says his name every night before bed!

Just watching now.
frick.
I don't think my delicate psyche can take this much brain-fricking.
frick George R. R. Martin. frick that miserable frick.
This/these show/books is/are designed to crush the fricking life right out of you. What kind of heinous person could write such evil shite?
fricking everyone. frick this thread. frick Tigerdroppings. frick...me.

that was pretty much my reaction when I first read the fight. It hit me harder than the Red Wedding
Oh and, that gif of Arya laughing looks like it belongs on the opening credits of a 90s sitcom

Granted I took it from the hodor thread, someone made a parallel between the cousin and the Mountain. They killed for no reason except for they could. This kind of makes me think that the the Mountain could soon be dying an unexpected death. At least that's how I took it as a non reader.
Regardless of what it was about, I thought it was a well acted scene from two brothers who may be saying there last goodbye. That being said I'm still holding out hope that Jamie saves the day and frees Tyrion, even though I should expect that George RR Martin would never let that happen.

Nothing hit me harder than the RED frickING WEDDING, but this had worked its way into my head as some sort of vindication for the evil that has thrived in this story - but then at the cusp of it, buttfricked.

unexpected death ? He just got stabbed through stomach with a poison spear.

Exactly, it's a wedding people aren't supposed to die (unless it's a dothraki wedding
I was probably more surprised by the purple wedding. I almost peed my pants in excitement while he was choking.

I think that's too simple of a death for him. Idk I'm just spitballing here

This was much worse than the red wedding for me, maybe because of the gruesome nature of the death
ETA: I was also knew Rob was going to die thanks to a drunk reader friend so I kinda new it was coming

Well he didn't exactly say it but I figured it out. He apologized the next day and this was early in season 2 so whatever. He didn't tell me how it happened but when all the readers on here kept talking about how crazy that episode would be I knew it was coming. I didn't know Catelyn and his wife would die too.
ETA your original post sums up my thoughts. I want to quit watching so bad but I know that won't happen. I just hope to be caught up by next season. I'm only on book one though so I got a lot to go.

You'd be surprised at how fast it goes by...then you'll be sitting here like the rest of us bitching about book 6 not being out yet.

I'm reading in my kindle and bought the 4 book package. I just got to when Catelyn got to kings landing and I'm at 4% through

she doesn't know that LF basically killed her entire family, so it probably isn't going to last forever.
Who is going to tell her? Who knows LF betrayed Ned to Cersei besides Lannisters and dead people? The Red wedding was something done for the Lannisters by Frey seeking revenge. I guess Varas could tell her in the hopes that she kills LF, but short of that I don't see how she finds out.
As for it lasting forever, I took Sansa helping LF as her deciding to finally start playing the game rather than keep getting played. She probably doesn't even know where she wants to take this other than to a better situation.

It didn't hit me as hard as many of you but I had it spoiled for me on the freakin Pelicans Talk of all places. Totes told Fear it was too painful to look at his avatar (which was of Oberyn). I guess that was one spoiler that worked out for the best because I was prepared for it while the rest of you got kicked in the nuts like Tyrion after thinking he'd won and then seeing his life slip away.

Who is going to tell her?
Same way she found out about Lysa killing Jon Arryn. He let's the wrong word slip that Sansa has heard before. He said "tears" to Lysa and I expect that he'll say "soft heart" to Sansa. Plus in the books at least, she knows LF killed Jon Arryn and had Lysa write to Cat about the Lannisters killing him. If she had enough time to think about it, she should see that something isn't right with LF and her family.

The Red wedding was something done for the Lannisters by Frey seeking revenge.
If LF had never killed Jon Arryn, had Lysa write the note to Cat, and then had Cat take Tyrion hostage, the Red Wedding wouldn't have occurred. LF is the direct catalyst to the entire conflict of the story. Plus he was without question plotting every single Tully and Stark's death with the exception of Sansa and maybe Cat.
