Ok, is Lysa's son mentally special or is he just a weird little sociopath because his mother is crazy and titty feeds him at 12 years old?
That is one ugly bitch I hope Littlefinger throws her crazy arse out the moon door soon, he won't let her big secret telling mouth hang around much longer.

No fricking shite. That was so fricking stupid. George RR Martin really is a giant troll. If the Starks are never gonna reunite, then quit teasing us with POINTLESS bullshite about them almost connecting over and fricking over. It's so stupid that Bran wouldn't talk to Jon Snow..makes absolutely no sense. Bran could've convinced JS pretty easily IMO that he needed to continue north, and could've talked JS into letting him go. Worse comes to worse, they could've ran away at night or something...bottom line is that there was no reason not to reunite with your brother right there, and this is now the second time that's happened where Jon has saved Bran but they didn't reunite.
A lot of the last episode had nothing to do with GRRM. Many of us feel like Hodors right now, lol.

yeah i almost posted "you need to blame HBO, not GRRM" but didn't want to get told anything
i watched comicgirl19's recap of the oathkeeper ep and she was sem-flipping out about the divergence from the books
it's more of an addition than a divergence, from what i can tell

They have been leading out a lot of pointless elements kind of. Like the Eyrie was way harder to get to, Brans route north, little things.
I can't really name anything here, but there are small changes, that I guess were to cut down on pointless scenes or just silly sub-plots.
But the entire Craster's thing was drummed up for the show. In the books the Mutineers are just a foot note.

Either Cersei is about to kill herself or someone else. She's being way too nice to everyone.
I get her being nice to Margaery. The Lannisters need the Tyrells' money and the way Margaery managed Joffrey was impressive, so she probably figures she'll be good for Tomen too. But she was far too calm when she basically implied that Tywin was going to get Tyrion off. I do think she has plans for killing Tyrion, possibly Jamie too.

Sweetrobin isn't mentally ill; he has crazy Lysa as a mom and he's been very sickly since he was born. Needless to say, he annoys me

He's not retarded, but he's very sickly and spoiled. Lysa has coddled him to the absolute extreme to where just about everyone is horrified how terrible of a kid Lysa has let him become. A major reason Lysa killed Jon Arryn was because they were going to send Robin off to ward with either Tywin or Stannis, neither of which would put Robin's bullshite and are pretty much the only 2 men in the Seven Kingdoms who could have broken Robin.

I don't think he implied that at all. Tywin just knew it was within his ethical duties to not talk to Cersei about the trial before it began. He's not talking with Tyrion either, so for once he's merely attempting to at least look to be fair.

book readers, who is older jon or robb?
was robb born after ned got back from robert's rebellion or before? i feel like this has maybe been answered (possibly in the dvd xtras) but i can't really remember. just curious.
edit: for some reason i'm thinking cat got pregnant just before he left for RR

All I'll say is that Ned knocked up Cat near the beginning of Robert's Rebellion, and then when Ned returned to Riverrun to pick up Cat and his newborn son, baby Jon was with him. Going any further would get into spoilers directly from the book and haven't even been hinted at in the show.

books actually never says anything about exactly when they were born.
We are to assume Rob was the wedding night gift, and we know that Ned came back with a bastard, but how long he was gone fighting (he went as far south as Dorne) we don't know.

ok thanks. i know it doesn't matter bc jon isn't a stark or whatever but was just wondering if it had been specifically mentioned. they seem pretty close to the same age.
edit: thanks SFP. hadn't watched comicgirl19's recaps this season. totally forgot. what's wrong with me??!! (rhetorical)

I think she just assumed he would go along and wasn't expecting him to say he was going to call it down the line.

I've always been under the impression that Robb was the elder, but it may just be because Jon always deferred to him since he was legit and Jon was a bastard.

They're a few months apart at most.

I think Robb. I remember reading Cat was preggers with Robb before Ned left to fight (thus fathering Jon)

Per the ASOIAF wiki (I won't link because of spoilers) Robb and Jon were born in the same year (283 AC). But Robb is referred to as the eldest son.
Stark Birth Order:
Robb
Jon Snow
Sansa
Arya
Bran
Rickon

Tommen continues to be referred to as a decent king and a glimmer of hope. feel like he will inevitably get fricked over now. hes too innocent in this fricked up world right now.
Posted on 5/5/14 at 12:22 pm to BlacknGold
i believe Tywin will do whatever has has to to protect Tommen. Not sure yet in what way he could get fricked over unless LF is somehow involved.
