two questions:
who's the alpha at craster's? I for some reason don't remember him.

second, did Jamie give brienne his sword or joff's? I assume his own??

The dude who killed Craster.

"You are a bastard..."

He's the guy that called Craster a bastard and killed him.

He gave her his sword. Joffery's was a bit smaller. Probably too small for Brienne.

I don't really remember his name either, but he killed Craster and Mormont.

His. Once a sword is named, it sticks forever, so Tommen is unfortunately stuck with a count sword named "Widow's Wale".

Nonreaders will be happy to know they are starting to change a lot of things from the books. Bran going to Craster's, Ghost being held captive, showing us what the White Walkers do with the babies, all things at least somewhat different than the books.

Is this what Hodors feel like? I don't know if I can handle surprises like these every week.

Littlefinger is pretty much the definition of a slime ball.

Yeah, some readers are pissed about the White Walker scene since we don't know anything about the Others aside from when they attack.

another question for readers, I spoke with a reader once who said they kind of point to who kills joffrey (all the players involved) but never officially say in the books. (maybe he was just playing me)
but they spelled it the eff out tonight. is that how it went down in the books?

i'll hang up and listen.

I thought it was cool to see what was being done with the babies. It's hilarious how people are freaking out in the readers thread over the changes.

It was suggested but never put as bluntly as it was on the show.

FWIW, the White Walker stuff tonight was also something that was speculated but never confirmed in the books (i.e. that the Others/White Walkers were making Craster's kids their own).

Which is absurd.

Right now, for those who haven't read, storylines have been pushed around enough that some have to catch up to others. As a reader, I'd personally rather have material like the White Walker stuff tonight to help other storylines "catch up". I enjoy the endless speculation we've had over things being confirmed/denied.

I think it's just because of the medium honestly. It's a lot easier to imply things in text than on the screen at times.

Wasn't as spelled out in the book but enough to know that's pretty much how it went down.

Some book readers didn't trust Littlefinger to tell Sansa the truth about the murder and the old lady's involvement... The show put those doubts to bed.

So what is even canon now? The books or the show?
