frick Stannis" yesterday with a link t the shireen scene. But everyone figured out that "frick stannis" meant "stannis is 100% gonna burn his daughter. People are good at reading between the lines.

But that was in the Reader thread, not the Hodor thread. No explanation of the difference needed.

was so fricking mad after seeing it I was going to swear off the show. Ruined a lot for me. I see Stannis for the bitch he is now.

I really can't see why people are defending Stannis here. He did have another option: turn back to Castle Black, but he point blank told Davos that he'd rather have every last person, including themselves, his wife, and child die with them. He could have waited at the Wall for a time, or take his ships south instead and ignore the Boltons for a while. Stannis burned his own daughter at the stake over pride, power, and superstition.

In Westeros, kinslayers are noted for being damned, and he murdered his brother and daughter. At least it's usually siblings standing in their way and shitty parents that are killed, but to kill your own loving daughter has to be the ultimate damnation in this universe. Stannis is a kinslayer at least twice over, 3 times over if you count his brother in law. There is nothing Stannis wouldn't do for power, even against his own severe moral judgement.

is it really superstition when we know that the red god is real, powerful, and does shite in Westeros?

that will probably happen next week

maybe, maybe not... whatever. the show apparently has taken a life of its own... whether or not something happens that i've read will not take away from my enjoyment of the show. really don't understand why book readers think the hodors build their viewing pleasure simply off of not knowing what is going to happen next.

I want to respond to they guy asking if women can inherit the throne. The episode was titled "a dance of dragons" which was the war over if a woman can succeed the king or if it falls to a son.
Some foreshadowing there for sure.

Trust me, there are hodors that flip the freak out if you post anything that resembles a spoiler in their thread. Heck, you can mention something that happened back in the very first book, and if you can't prove to them that it was explained on the show they will blow a gasket.

I don't think they are as bad as they use to be, but if you are a reader you are not allowed to even post in their thread (even though readers still do post there). I got run out of there earlier this season for responding to someone who mentioned R+L=J. Just ask Coco if he wants readers in their thread. I've decided to not post at all in the thread now.

Do we? Or is it just magic and tricks?

i picked up on the R+L=J bit (not here but elsewhere) and honestly didn't take away anything from the show for me (if in fact this theory plays out). i actually like knowing it because i can identify the clues when they drop thinking it may happen. OR not. who knows with this show.

i've read some things elsewhere in blogs just throwing stuff out there of what may or may not happen and some are quite entertaining... and infuriating. all speculation at this point. some theories are REALLY out there. lol

Napoleon, don't respond to anything in the Hodor thread. As a former Hodor, I wouldn't want you responding to me in that thread.

For a lot of idiots in that thread, if it isn't expressly stated word for word in the show, then it can't be mentioned.

The whole R+L=J thing was VERY strongly alluded to by Littlefinger to Sansa and somewhat by Stannis a few episodes back but bringing it up was the kiss of death.

Before you made your post (like a few days or a week or so, the day after the episode with the R+L=J clues), someone else mentioned it in the hodor thread. I responded by asking if R+L=J was allowed to be mentioned. Then all hell broke loose. Even Coco said it had been mentioned in past seasons in the thread, but they still basically flipped out. The poster Kosmo Cramer said that spoiled some stuff for him, so he said screw it and left that thread and came to this one.

So when you posted what you did a week or so later, it was inevitable that all hell would break loose again.

I think all hell broke loose more because we thought he was joking. which is why I responded to him by saying, "so are you saying R+L=J?". we assumed he was fricking around because he spelled out word for word a theory that we have known about and has been around forever. he took offense to that and started getting super mad. now he holds a grudge against me

Why do some people get so pissy about these GoT threads? I wasn't here for previous seasons.

Yeah, that's why I went back into the hodor thread and called him out. I couldn't believe he had never heard of R+L=J before his post, especially considering there was just a big blow out over it. I thought he was just screwing with everyone because of the crap storm I had just recently been apart of.
