Approximately, yeah, though they are blending things from several books together. That trend will probably increase in the future as they start including info from books 4 and 5 along with the rest of book 3 in the 4th season.

They will have to combine books to cover 7 books in 7 seasons considering book 3 will extend over 2 seasons.
