I got a chuckle out of Alicent talking to the Commander of the Gold Cloaks. "We need to talk in secret" and the proceeds to talk loudly with dozens of people around.

Great episode. Aemond's rampage in Harrenhall was a bit of a letdown, but I thought they executed the plot pretty well.
We still don't know if Tyland survived, though. Interesting.

Loved the shot of Rhaenyra walking up to the throne, through Hightower blood (and the reflection of the throne in the blood waiting for her). Thank the Gods that she had that good Valyrian Steel on the second stroke or we would’ve had a good ol’ fashioned Queen Mary hacking.
Aemond’s such a cocky frick. Gonna be fun seeing Alys do a number on him.

They’ve done a good job of making Haelena a tragic character. Girl is just simple. Wants to look at bugs and read books and hang out with her kids.
I just don’t feel sorry for Rhaenyra. If she wasn’t a whore who let herself get knocked up and try to pass off obvious bastards as legit heirs to the throne, none of this happens.
