So Jon gets brought back to life to NOT deal with the NK and to NOT become King and to kill Dany.
Cool. Glad he got brought back to not have a major impact

Yep, so what’s the entire point of Jon being a Targaryen? He takes the black like Aemon and lives a worthless life on the wall, sounds great.

Worst ending ever IMO. Bittersweet ending my arse. Also, who the hell will succeed him since he can’t have children?

The point of this season seems to be “all previous seasons mean nothing and no one has learned anything or changed in any way”
Dany=still values the throne over everything, ignoring all lessons learned in Mereen, from her brother, or from any of her humbling moments throughout the show
Jon= just a boy who wants to join the nights watch. Ignore all lineage and accomplishment, he’s just a crow
Jamie= just a dude who wants to bone his sister no matter the cost. Ignore everything he has done to redeem himself
Arya = still a scared girl running through Kings Landing
Sansa = still a bitchy drama queen who craves power
Tyrion = still just a funny dwarf who yearns for his families respect
Varys = still betraying whoever he serves for someone else

She’s fought tooth and nail her whole life to become queen of Westeros. She gets over there and finds out somebody has a better claim to the throne and that nobody likes her. Pair that with the fact that the dude she loves won’t frick her, her hand is always wrong, and she just watched her best friend get beheaded, and her whole family having a history of being crazy. I think it’s pretty frickin easy to see why she went crazy. Everyone on this board that thinks they’re so much more “sophisticated” and “oh I’m not impressed with just nice CGI” are really the retarded ones. They cant understand why everything is culminating like it is and it’s pretty easy to understand

It was pointless. If this is how the books turn out I’ll save myself some coin and won’t read those either.

The problem is this has happened all within the last 3 episodes. If they were going to go this route then there should have been more than subtle hints that it may happen. This should have been an arc starting in S6.
Why was there an entire season dedicated to her avoiding all of this, JUST last season. Even then it was only ever really hinted at never a part of her and something she has always struggled with

Spot on, you can literally tell somebody to watch episode 1 then skip to this past episode and they won’t be confused at all.
Everything from seasons 2-7 was filler, wasting years of our lives and pointless character development.
Every character has reverted to their episode 1 form. What was the point of anything.

What the actual frick is right
What does Jon have to protect? I’d much rather him just go live North with Tormund but even that will be denied of us

Because it’s cool bro! Look no further than this board to see that the show succeed. The stunning visuals of this episode completely overshadow the betrayal of certain arches.

Just finally finished it after a delay in the middle.
From a visual , battle, pacing, and wrapping up character lines, that's one of my favorite episodes ever. I sincerely loved everything but one detail
Dany’s character arc turn pretty much ruined the series as a whole for me. Not raging.
I understand it and it's not unexpected at all. Just a disappointment based on my expectations and hopes.
Congrats to the director, actors, and effects people. You did a marvelous job and gave one of the best executed episodes of television I've seen. GRRM, you told your story and I hate it. It's not a big deal, but I'm hurting a little inside
