I think the reason we aren't familiar with that theory is because 1) the source of it apparently hasn't shown up yet and 2) many of us "show only" types try not to do any reading of online discussion outside of this board because of the potential for spoilers. Until the show catches up with the books (and even then, really), there's just so much potential for stuff to be ruined. I had one key season 1 death spoiled for me and I was real mad

The theory comes from a scene in the first book that was cut out of the show. It upset a lot of book readers that it was cut because it is seen as being pivotal.

Yep. The books are so damn complex that they have spawned a shitload of theories and counter-theories about characters. Thats why I like the books so much.

Hell, we have a massive thread on this board just for theories.

non-book and book readers alike should google "the lannisters honeypot"

*** some may see it as a spoiler, even though it is just a collection of scenes from season 2 and 3. No information from the book is given, just highlights from the show to push a theory that is not in the books*****

Very interesting angle that is unique to the show. It blew my mind that I didn't see it.

No spoilers at all. Would link but we see skin at the end.

This is why I thought everyone knew.

I'm the opposite of the people who just watch the show. I've only read the books. I borrowed season 1 recently, but I haven't had a chance to watch it all yet.

Why'd you have to bust in here and tell us our theories are laughable, and implying that many of us are wrong.

Just kidding. I don't want to start that war. Or do I?

1. Love Jenna Marbles

2. It's a cool show only theory.

Not quite nothing though, because Dany's brother was clearly also insane so all of this shennanigans would prevent the Mad king years + his son's mad years.

Without Roberts rebellion Viserys would've never been king. After aery's died it would pass to Rhaegar and then to Rhaegars son.

be hard to explain, and I feel a non reader would think it was spoilers if they didn't see the video.

It's something in the show that is not in the source material.

I'd edit that last part for people who haven't watched the video and might not make the connection.

I just watched it again, and I still can't believe I might have missed all that. (Illiterate, so I don't know where this is going).

If I was just a show watcher I wouldn't want to watch it. It has the potential for spoilers in it.
