Ernest - Added to the list.

As far as House of 1000 corpses, I'll wait for House of 2000 corpses to come out.

Lot of good choices there. Most are not rated, so I might watch a couple tonight.

Not scary....but Little Monsters was a good one. One of my favorite movies when I was a kid.

you're not really going to find scary movies that are pg made anytime soon

poltergeist is the best, and he already eliminated it

Depends why he wants a G movie, not to scare the kids or shelter them from cursing or whatever. There are scary movies with just cursing and no sex or real gore.

Don't Look Under the Bed- scariest disney original movie ever, and they have actually taken it out of syndication now.

The foundation of my fear of clowns. But yes, what an awesomely scary 80s classic!!

Fwiw....my father is a huge horror movie fan. So I grew up watching scary movies since I was like 7 and I turned out fine. I would have sleepovers....we would watch Friday the 13th movies(I was around 9 or 10) and my dad would put on his Jason mask, hide and run out and scare us during scary scenes. It was awesome! He would go all out for Halloween...dress up scary and hide in these huge bushes and jump out and scare kids as they came up to porch to get candy from my mom.

Moral of story....no such thing as a true horror movie that is PG....LAME!!!

Pretty sure Arachnaphobia is PG-13, but it is a decent "scary" movie for kids.

Just make them watch this intro a few times...they will be scared to go into their dark bedroom at night.

The scariest intro EVER!!

I had to quickly mute it so I wouldn't hear it....I'm by myself at home and that theme music still creeps me out.

Pop in The Shining and see what happens. I walked in on this movie when i was about 5 or 6 and got so scared that I froze up in the corner ans ended up watching the whole thing. The one scarred me for quite awhile, I still get the creeps walking down hotel hallways by myself.

Seriously though you should try and find episodes of Nickelodeon's show "Are you Afraid of the Dark?" Pretty good stuff for kids, it used creep me out back in the day.

Not really a "scary" movie, but Spirited Away is one of the greatest animated films of all time. Has spirits and monsters and the such and is definitely kid oriented. Though as an adult you will still love it, unless you're heartless.

Poltergeist might be a bit much with the clown and the whole haunted house thing.

Something like an Are You Afraid of the Dark marathon might work.

Poltergeist is the scariest PG movie of all time. If there was a PG-13, it definitely would have been at the time.

The Witches is PG

Watched this when I was little and always thought some witch was going to turn me into a mouse, ugh hated that movie

My vote would go for Tremors, a fun movie for any age
