re: Actors Dressing up as their Characters Years Later
Posted by RunningHeel on 12/8/12 at 8:36 pm to JabarkusRussell
I think it is awesome...that is contingent on the actors still looking like they could pull off those characters. I think Chuck Norris is past his Walker Texas Ranger prime and it would be sad to see him in any setting of that show.

Keep moving along, 1st season isn't memorable IMO, but midway through season 2 is when the ride gets good. By Season 3 you won't know what hit you, fantastic progression and character development.

Chigurh: What's the most you've ever lost on a coin toss?
Proprietor: Sir?
Chigurh: The most. You ever lost. On a coin toss.
Proprietor: I don't know. I couldn't say.
[Chigurh tosses a quarter in the air, catches it, then places it on the counter with his hand over it]
Chigurh: Call it.
Proprietor: Call it?
Chigurh: [sighs] Yes.
Proprietor: Well, we need to know what we're callin' for here.
Chigurh: You need to call it. I can't call it for you. It wouldn't be fair.
Proprietor: I didn't put nothin' up.
Chigurh: Yes, you did. You've been putting it up your whole life. You just didn't know it. You know what date is on this coin?
Proprietor: No.
Chigurh: 1958. It's been traveling 22 years to get here. And now it's here. And it's either heads or tails, and you have to say. Call it.
Proprietor: Well, look...I need to know what I stand to win.
Chigurh: Everything.
Proprietor: ...How's that?
Chigurh: You stand to win everything. Call it.
Proprietor: All right. Heads, then.
[Chigurh removes his hand, revealing the proprietor made the correct call]
Chigurh: [suddenly] Well done! [flicks the quarter to the proprietor] Don't put it in your pocket.
Proprietor: Sir....?
Chigurh: Don't put it in your pocket. It's your lucky quarter.
Proprietor: Well, where do you want me to put it?
Chigurh: Anywhere, not in your pocket. Where it'll get mixed in with the others and become just a coin...which it is.

Thanks for posting this. The statistical comparison feature, prop bets, and play-calling indicator would be badass. I hope these happen in the near future
re: DMC expected back next week
Posted by RunningHeel on 11/12/12 at 3:39 pm to Nonetheless
Pump the brakes...
Per rotoworld:
Darren McFadden (ankle) and Mike Goodson (ankle) both remain in walking boots.
It throws cold water on the notion that McFadden is "expected back" for Week 11, but it certainly doesn't mean McFadden can't shed his boot between now and Wednesday's practice. It's just more likely he'll come down to a game-time decision than an assured return. Fantasy owners should be used to DMC's status being up in the air. For now, he shouldn't be expected to play Sunday until coach Dennis Allen guarantees he will do so.

Spiller Owners Rejoice
Posted by RunningHeel on 11/12/12 at 2:41 pm
Fred Jackson (concussion) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Dolphins.
Fins just allowed 100 yards rushing to an opponent for the 1st time all year. Now Spiller gets a crack at them on Thursday all by his lonesome

Premature thread is premature. I'll take 32 points from Mr. Stafford. Looks like he remembered he has Calvin Johnson on his team.
re: Sproles or Wallace
Posted by RunningHeel on 10/31/12 at 4:15 pm to realtalk
Wallace has had some drops lately, but you're right his targets are trending up. Sproles on the other hand has been very solid but he is basically only seeing looks in the passing game so his rushing stats are next to nothing.
Just not sure if this would be an upgrade or a lateral move.
The guy who has Wallace only has Bradshaw & S. Greene for RBs so he desperately needs another RB.

Who would rather have for ROS? .5 PPR league
RBs: McCoy, McFadden, Sproles, Law Firm
WRs: Harvin, Dez, Amendola, Titus Young
Working on a trade to bolster my WR core so wondering if giving up Sproles for Wallace would be a good move.

re: Anyone else benching Lynch?
Posted by RunningHeel on 10/18/12 at 8:53 pm to Goose
Not sure why u would bench Lynch against a 49s D that let Bradshaw go crazy. At half he has 55 yards on 9 carries. 6.1 YPC isn't too shabby
re: So who is the Colts #2 WR?
Posted by RunningHeel on 10/18/12 at 8:50 pm to Dav
Avery has 47 targets on the year versus Hilton's 22.
Avery is averaging 9.4 targets a game which is 17th in the league. Not saying Avery is necessarily a viable option in a shallow league, but compared to Hilton he is the guy to own.

What is your thought on Harvin for Jimmy Graham, non PPR straight up?
Depends on the rest of your roster and needs. I would rather have Graham in a non ppr due to his TD potential.

ETA: If individual players get points for return TDs, you at least have Sproles returning punts in NO to offset the loss of potential KOR TDs for Harvin.
Yes individual players get credit for the TDs, but not the yardage. And you are right Sproles' role/production with special teams is right there with Harvin's.
Percy Harvin's Trade Value
Posted by RunningHeel on 10/2/12 at 8:36 am
12 Team .5 PPR and I was offered:
Sproles, Amendola, and Fleener
for
Harvin & Greg Olsen
Starting RBs are Forte, Law Firm, Doug Martin
Starting WRs are Harvin, Welker, and Dez
Hate to give up Harvin but I think Sproles & Amendola is enough for him. I also have Jared Cook so losing Olsen isn't bad. Would u do this trade?

True, despite losing a step Turner will find a way to fall into the endzone. Same thing with the Law Firm, nothing dynamic but knows how to punch it in for 6
