The IGN review is from a website and writer more predisposed to liking this than many other outlets.

Anyone calling this "worst" anything is likely using hyperbolic language for clicks, especially since there are very few movies more hated than Emmerich's Godzilla.

I rarely put stock in a critic and choose to actually make my own decision about a movie.

I will see it

Godzilla: King of the Monsters is now the worst American Godzilla movie. Say what you will about Roland Emmerich's, but at least he showed Godzilla a lot

Yeah I'm calling bullshite here. I saw people making this same claim in 2014. Call me skeptical on this review

It might be bad but nothing can be a bigger insult to Godzilla then the 1998 abortion

Yay. It’s better than the 1996 version.

Critic reviews are only a good barometer when they’re about on par with audience reviews. If both are 80+, it’s probably pretty good. Both are under 50, probably not that great.

This movie was never going to have a good RT score. It’s not a critics type of movie, it’s your standard summer blockbuster. I’m not saying it’ll be good, I have no idea, but audience score will be a better indicator

Critic Consensus is up also at 54% now

Sounds like a Zack Snyder movie. But that may be a good thing for Godzilla.

Never cared what a critic says or what it’s rated on RT and won’t start caring now

I will see it because it looks entertaining and I grew up watching Godzilla

It’s going to have to be pretty good to be better than “Godzilla vs. Destoroyah.”

Everything in the trailer just looks so dark and chaotic.

Bummer. I wasn’t terribly impressed with the previous Zilla movie. Felt no connection to the cast after Cranston’s character bit the dust.

That leaves Toy Story 4 (kinda meh on this after the perfect series ending 3 seemed to be if you were a kid when the OG came out), MIB, and The Dead Don’t Die as the only possible pure fun options in June.

56% now. Close enough to fresh for me.

This review can't be real

When I heard Millie Bobby Brown was in this, I expected several Stranger Things references, maybe eat some Leggo Waffles. What I got instead, was some boring and overly WWEish monster fights trying too hard to mimic Rugrats Reptar

Pretty much all film critics are hacks outside of a few good independent content creators

Disappointed in the rating so far. The trailer looks really good. I’d like to see the general audience score.

I'm not familiar with that critic's work, but let's not pretend that all things convoluted are created equal.

Emmerich’s Zilla was basic a T-Rex with a smaller head and longer arms.
