God Father 1 or 2

Godfather is in discussion for greatest movie of all time. It should be a unanimous choice on any critic or fan top ten list.

Godfather Part II is a great movie, should be a unanimous choice on any critic or fan top 100 list.

Godfather is the better viewing experience, mainly because of the Brando and Jimmy Caan factor, plus the era is better.

Godfather 2 is the better story and probably the best executed film you'll ever see, but it's just a dark, depressing Shakespearean tale.

It doenst matter, both are probably top 5 movies ever made.

Those movies are nearly 50 years old and they are shown on cable all the time still.

I agree, both are fantastic, but can you really like one or other without liking both?

I prefer 2. I think Pacino's performance in 2 is the greatest acting performance of all-time.

Both are phenomenal, but I prefer the sequel. I can't give a good reason other than loving the Deniro flashbacks.

Hated the flashbacks other than the Ellis Island scene.
