Within the context of the movie (spoiler I guess):

I’m watching last kingdom now and haven’t got to this scene yet but Beocca is already one of my favorites. Great show

I'll add Gleeson and his dad in Braveheart. The old man is hilarious

Would Oberyn Martell count? I mean the dude was always drunk, banging men, women, possibly goats. Then against the Mountain, dude was straight up bad arse!

Until he wasn’t.

Depends on how old you are, but seeing Bruce Willis in Die Hard was surprising because before that he was best known for Moonlighting. Hard to think of him any other way now, but back then it was definitely a surprise to think of him in an action movie.

He was able to break out of it.

Meanwhile Pierce Brosnan, while probably looking and sounding about perfect for James Bond, was never able to break away from Remington Steele. At least he never did for me.

I don't know if this fits the intent of the thread, but it always shocked me that Ben Foster turned a bit into a movie bad arse. I did not see that coming.

Kitty Foreman from That 70's Show.

Red thinks he's tough and he runs that house, but Kitty is the alpha in that marriage and will absolutely stop him in his tracks. All of the other characters in the show know this and rightfully fear her.
