Say what you will about the cancel culture aspect of her scenario, but she is not a very good actress.

She was barely in the Mandalorian and was likely going to be part of an ensemble cast in Rangers of the New Republic. Nothing changed, she was decent but nothing special as an actress which is a surprise to no one considering she's a UFC fighter.

Okay and that's besides the point. If she was good enough for Disney to hire her then surely she's good enough for a new upstart film company to hire.
We all know fewer kilometers just doesn't like any "lowly types" involving themselves with the movie making industry and sometimes that includes people who want to have an opinion on the industry.

Maybe, but I actually believed her as a badass that could fight and beat men...and believe it pretty easily actually. That's usually pretty rare with a lot of female "badass" type characters

Yep. The Jewish people living under the third reich she compared herself to were famously able to sign lucrative employment deals when they were fired from their jobs. i am not acting like she brought a lot to the role, but she played her part better than Katee Sackhoff, who had a lot more experience in acting.
if anything, she brought a modem of talent to a roll that involved a kickass woman that we all know could actually kick all of our asses. compare that to Queen Latifah's new gig (with no disrespect to her.)
