Egon: Is the atomic weight of Cobalt 58.9?

Ray: You mean you never even had a slinky?
Egon: We had part of a slinky... but I straightened it.

Egon: We've been running tests to see if we can get a strong positive reaction.
Venkman: What kind of tests?
Ray: Well, we sing to it. Talk to it. Say supportive nurturing things to it.
Venkman: You're not sleeping with it are you, Ray?
(Everyone looks at Egon)
Venkman: Oh, you.
Winston: It's always the quiet ones.
Venkman: YOU HOUND!!!

That’s one of the better scenes in the whole movie.
I always have thought the entire courthouse scene was the best scene in the movie. The banter and action felt a lot like the first film. Overall, it's an ok sequel, but it falls well short of the original film. But, given how Columbia rushed the script and production for GB II, it could have been a lot worse.

I've always said it's one of the best sequels of all time.
It's got a solid plot, decent acting. It's funny and almost as quotable as the original as well. It's great.

I always liked it. It suffers mainly from not being as good as the first, but it's a fun movie as a standalone.
It's just good in the places where the first was great. If you can set aside comparisons, it's hard not to enjoy the movie.

I was 8 when this movie came out. This joke went over my head for years.

For my money, this part of the courthouse scene is the high point of the movie:
Louis Tully: Your Honor, ladies and gentleman of the audience, I don't think it's fair to call my clients frauds. Sure, the blackout was a big problem for everybody. I was trapped in an elevator for two hours and I had to make the whole time. But I don't blame them. Because one time, I turned into a dog and they helped me. Thank you.
[the courtroom is in bewildered silence]
Egon: Very good, Louis. Short, but pointless.

Tulley: My guys are still under that judicial restrangement order......... that blue thing I got from her. They could be exposing themselves.
Peter: and you don’t want us, exposing ourselves
Bill Murray steals most of the fun scenes in both movies

Has anyone seen Gremlins: Recall?? I've never even heard of it but apparently it was released in 2017.
"A company by the name of Wing has created Mogwais that can be adopted as family pets with no ill consequences -- or so they thought. Tiny terror is unleashed at a local diner when a teenage girl interferes with a Wing driver's live cargo. "

Judge: You gotta do something!!!
Egon: Why don't you just tell them you don't believe in ghosts!!!
eta: if these kids can enjoy this movie, anyone here can.

I liked them both equally well. Why does anyone think II is inferior?
Overall their plots and storyline are almost the same, including getting arrested in the same time/manner in both movies.

Not as good as the first, but still great, IMO. Great quotable lines, good comedy moments, etc.
I love both.
The re-boot a few years ago was an abomination.

Question...
GB 1 Janine
GB 2 Janine
or
The Real GB Janine?

GB2 was one of 2 movies my mom took me to see after school on a weekday. The other was No Holds Barred. CSB

I think I agree. Actually...I know that I agree. GB1 Janine has too much of a Rachel Maddow thing going on that has ruined it.

I use to like the cartoon a lot.. But I am not sure if it compares to the movie.
