Didn't you see Paul Rudd?

He'll act confused and then deadpan say something dumb the whole movie.

My only car concern is this: when the original Ecto 1 was restored in 2009, Ecto 1A was stripped to be restored as well and SONY cancelled it because of budget concerns. She had been sitting bare for years after and disappeared in 2012 or so. Showed up again early this year when a guy dropped off his 59 Caddy he sold to SONY for this film Ecto 1A was there. We dont know what happened from there. I'm concerned she was converted to one of these cars used for the filming and is lost forever now. Would be a shame.

Yeah, it was decked out with tons of roof equipment. You can even see in those pictures that its sitting lower because of all the extra weight. But I still love the look of it.

But both movies were the 80s and the flashback mentioned as if ghosts happened more than one event. "80's New York City. It was like the Walking Dead. "

Kinda hard to believe that kids with internet access wouldn't be aware of a giant marshmallow man stomping around NYC, or when a bunch of guys drove the Statue of Liberty around with an NES controller.

Probably a lot of trutheresque stuff claiming mass hallucination and poisonings or something.

I'd prefer just handwaving it away as New York being New York.

Between GB1 and GB2 they were discounted as frauds, sued for property damage, and forbidden from going into business again. If they did it to them once, they can do it to them again.

The originals aren't roll on the floor funny. Trying to be overly jokey was a big problem with the 2016 remake.

Really?

Kids have the internet now and they don't understand what 9/11 was and it was less than 20 years ago much less in the 80s

lolwut?

The original is a comedy, through and through. Comedians wrote it. The biggest comedic actors in hollywood starred in it. The jokes were pretty much non stop from them, even as the world is ending.

I don’t know squat about the remake.

Yes they are.

No. Casting, writing, directing, tone, product placement, studio involvement, story, plot, characters, were all much bigger problems than jokes.

That's silly. They may not understand the factors that led up to it or the consequences afterwards, but they know the basics that two planes were flown into the towers, destroying them. I was born in the 80s, but I knew about major events like Pearl Harbor and the JFK assassination when I was in middle school.

I have a bad feeling they'll just have brief cameos in the movie.

Looking up Mckenna Grace, she seems like she's got some strong SJW leanings. She shills for PETA and the fact that she had anything to do with Captain Marvel is kind of disappointing.

I seriously thought that was a little boy. Is that supposed to be Egon hair or should we just as well have cast Kate McKinnon again?

And girls aren't funny. Let's see those upvotes.

Which would suck IMO. I get that there has to be a passing of the torch kind of deal, put part of the appeal of the original Ghostbusters was the chemistry and personality of the original cast. Take away Bill Murray’s one liners or Aykroyd’s consternation and it’s a different movie.

Of course I’m still bitter over how Luke Skywalker was treated, so I'm hoping the original cast gets some kind of considerable role.

Egon is the easy answer to the grandfather and is an easy way to pay homage to the late Harold. But ray has all the money and would most likely keep everything. Also dan aykroyd wrote the first one based on his grandfathers actual dealings and beliefs that transpired in a small town. They were all into ghosts and seances
