Great Actor! Never saw him in a movie where he wasn't ever great at the role!

I knew it was coming soon but this one hurts. One of my 3 favorite actors of all time.

Did he murder his wife?

Then commit suicide 2 weeks later.

Thats what I’m guessing.

It’s weird that he only killed one of the three dogs though.

Well, you're an idiot on every board so I'm not surprised. Cops don't suspect foul play.

DailyMail is reporting Hackman and his wife have been dead for awhile. Their bodies were mummified and hard to identify.

Gene Hackman and Betsy Arakawa were found mummified at mansion with pills strewn in bathroom

quote:

Hackman was found dead in a mud room off the couple's kitchen, the warrant said. Police first spotted his legs on the ground in what appeared to be a mud room.

The Oscar-winning Superman star was fully clothed, in a gray sweat pants, a blue in color long-sleeve t-shirt, brown slippers.

His sunglasses and walking cane were found next to his body, suggesting he may have died of a sudden fall.

This is a complete side note but an Asian living in New Mexico seems to be a foreign concept to me

In 2023, the population of Los Alamos, New Mexico was 7.1% Asian.

He's 93 and looked EXTREMELY frail in the last known photos of him.

if anyone died of natural causes in this situation it was him.

Those are great, but the fact that you don't mention The French Connection, Unforgiven, The Conversation, or Mississippi Burning tell me we either have very different tastes or you have some fantastic Hackman movies to watch this weekend

Those are great too!

I’m torn on which tribute to watch tonight. French Connection, Crimson Tide, or Unforgiven.

I’ll probably end up on Hoosiers

From most recent headline from Fox

quote:

Hackmans Daughter she hadn't seen her father in a "few years," only because he no longer traveled much, and she lives in California, but she said they were close and had "been in touch over the last couple of months."

WTF? what daughter doesn’t see her dad in a few years? Even if there was animosity I would still check in with my 95 yo dad often. SMH.

This has nothing to do with politics. The fact that he hadn’t seen his daughter in years at his age and her knowing his situation really ticks me off. I lost my father recently and i was with him when he died. I would’ve been ashamed not seeing my father during his last years no matter what the family situation was.
