Kit technically doesn't work for HBO anymore, so he wouldn't be there. I'm sure D&D and GRRM just don't want to get torn apart by angry nerds.

Well, I think TD's copyright compliance department (which I totally just made up) might have a thing or two to say about that.

GRRM really wants to finish Winds before Season 6 starts. I believe he gets it done. There is no way in hell he is gonna let those show writers get all the glory for his magnum opus.

I wouldn't hold my breath...I'll believe it when I see it...I would be shocked if he did...and whatever other phrase I can throw in here to depict my lack of faith in the fat man's desire to finish the book.
ETA: Hopefully I'm wrong though.

And you folks can be as pessimistic as you like. Gurm HAS to finish WoW before next season. I'm sure HBO pays him a shitload of money, but sales of the next book will be devastated if another season airs before it's released.
