Yes. There's been a lot of emphasis in the lore about the swords. It adds a whole lot to why they're passed down from generation to generation in the households that have them. It's no longer just a monetary thing. It's a survival thing.
We all knew what it would do. My question is how relevant it can be with so little of it out there.

I prefer to think they're against pure reasoning. If you say anything that makes any amount of sense in those threads, they crucify you.

If you want to laugh, look at the first page of the Hodor thread at everyone trashing how boring the episode would be

Remember, Bran has to tie into all this stuff too... I think this episode all but clears up he's on the side of men, not the Others... If there was ever any doubt.

I might have to do some re-reading but I wonder where Arya fits into all of this. Needle has a part to play.

We know that there are still people who can work Valyrian Steel since Ice was broken down and turned into two separate swords. And while rarer than a typical sword, can still be found.
It's a pretty big deal.

Why do you say that? For all we know, he's warging them from a distance.

This episode just shite on any theories that have the white walkers as "not so bad" guys

Arya is definitely the character I'm least sure where her arc is heading, aside from tragedy of course.

I mean c'mon guys. I don't get what all hoopla is about. If I want zombies I would watch A&E for Christ sake. Dumb shite Lord Commander forgot about fire and dragon glass...
Kidding bitches. It was awesome.
I think there was a purpose to Tyrion seeing valaryia and I think it's to answer this shortage of steel.

We know they can work it but the shite is rare. I can't see making enough for an army.
A hodor breakdown of the show...

I mean godamn. That was epic. Definitely one of the top 3 episodes of the series for me. It was all talky talky., setup setup, and then BOOM bitch, army of the dead is here. Valyrian steel for the win. So is that General white walker the key to it all? Jon snow and him settle this whole annihilation thing with some single combat? I know guessing at the endgame is pointless but damn do I want that
A hodor breakdown of the show...

Holy fookin shite, that episode had everything!
Hints at the Mountain
Sansa gets the truth
Entire white walker battle,
V-Steele power
"Come at me snow"
and
WUNN WUNN!

I curious what side Lord Bloodraven is on?

The fact that they tried to kill him before he got to the cave told me that him, The Three Eyed Raven, and TCOTF were all not on the side of the Others.
I've always shook my head at that theory.

I don't believe he's with the White Walkers. They threaten his and the COTF existence too. I file him in the inbetween of "I want to make my move when everyone is weak".

Great episode. Time for comic subsidy.

IMO she will do the FM bidding (as well as kill Trant) and eventually be sent to Westeros to do a job in the north (she smuggles needle on this trip, with the intent to return it to someone like Jon maybe)
But instead before the job is done, she runs into Nymeria and she abandons the faceless men and begins her own plans to reunite the remaining Starks and or joining Jon's cause

It would have been bad arse if the night's king would have said to Jon with his arm's raised "And now it begins" and Jon would have said back "No now it ends."
A nice tower of joy line.

anyone else notice the wights have changed to a "full-on" dawn of the dead running zombies?
the chiller was the slow scene of the wildling mom and the dead kid wights.
that was creepy.
