The show writers would probably agree you can't replace a 12 year old with a grown woman and make people believe it.

I mean the show has probably one of the biggest casts on television. Not everyone from the book can be included, but they won't try to pass off a 40 yr old as a 12 yr old.

I wouldn't be surprised if the creators try to throw some shite in with her/move her storyline around a bit to encourage more "movement". I'd certainly welcome it.

Hell, probably even longer as the books will be stretched a bit I'm sure. After 3-4 seasons of her doing jack shite, no one will give a damn about her or the dragons by the time she actually does something
I agree that they will probably change it up to give her more to do. But it will have to be quite engaging to the viewers since a lot of them have been in "I can't wait for Dany to rock the 7 kingdoms with dragons" since the end of season 1.

They moved her pretty quickly to Mereen in books, she just stays there for two more fricking books.
I think they only spent one or two chapters on Yunkai.

It's funny to me reading the opinions of Dany by people who have read all the books and experiencing them with someone who hasn't. The SO is in the middle of reading Clash of Kings and finishing up watching the 1st season. He loves some Dany right now. I just shake my head.
