don't even remember when it happened specifically in the books, but I could see the show having it happen as they flee with Gilly like the post you responded to mentioned.
I think, while they are fleeing Craster's, he stabs on with the obsidean blade. Also, while he and Gilly are fleeing, a wight (I think it is Small Paul's body) attacks them and he tries the obsidean again. It shatters on the chain mail. Then, a bunch of crows comes out and chases the wight away. I'm pretty sure this is when cold hands shows up.....
I could be completely wrong about my timeline.

He kills the other when he basically says frick it I'm gonna lay here and die. Last week was a perfect opportunity for it to be in line with the books until mormount came and changed the scene

His transformation from fat coward to fat coward that will muster up some kind of courage to protect a loved one makes sense, and the WW being there could fit with a child being born but not being offered for sacrifice.
this is how I see Sam becoming the Sam the Slayer on the show
Craster goes to offer the baby boy to the WW, only Sam follows, kills the WW, takes the baby, and then him and Gilly run off together for her to slide up and down on his manhood

They are searching around making lists of people to shun.

Its really not a difficult concept to grasp. I understand the animosity toward it, but its not hard to do what the are asking. Let them roam around aimlessly and if they want, they'll hit up the middle ground thread.

RE: Bran and Rickon,
When do they part ways in the book? I'm having trouble remembering when Rickon heads for Skagos and Bran heads to meat the children of the Forest and become the next green seer. Maybe I'm just a little dense.
Yeah that has been a complete change from the books.
In the books, Meera and Jojen were at Winterfell with Bran before Theon took the city. They hid with the Starks in the crypts.
After WF was burned, Maester Luwin thought it would be safer to split them up so they couldn't both be captured at once again.
Osha left with Rickon to parts unknown, and Bran went to The Wall with Hodor and the Reeds.
Interested to see how they are going to pull that split in the show, since it seems unlikely that they'll be able to keep them together once Bran goes to Crowland and Davos seems to be on the way to find Rickon.
Maybe when Sam takes Bran past the Wall through that tunnel, Rickon can stay at the Wall and Davos will eventually find Rickon there with Stannis?? Slight change, but could still work, especially since Osha could be of use at The Wall with integrating the wildlings??

I'd rather read 10 pages of Coco not know what the Stark/Direwolf connection is than 1 page of the bickering. Seriously, its funny when they don't recognize the pregnant chick from last season or don't know why they showed the baby penis.

So 9 minutes including the scenes where Littlefinger was handing over the books?
Look at it this way:
A group of prostitutes are given what is probably a LARGE sum of money to pleasure a virgin and not a single one of them takes a single copper. He could be known as The Mountain That Swings Between Thighs and at least one of those gals would still would take at least some of that money. But they didn't, not a single one... why?
And we know the money is important because the camera zeroes in on Tyrion dropping it off.
So in order to set all that up we needed to:
1. Know that Tyrion was getting the books
2. Know that Pod was getting multiple women
3. Know that Tyrion was paying for it
4. SEE that Tyrion paid for it
5. Find out that the kingdom is in a massive amount of debt
6. SEE that none of the prostitutes took any of the money.
My thought is that this is setting up what will be the Iron Bank of Braavos funding Dany's return and war against Westeros (if she ever fricking leaves Meereen)

I think <name redacted>was served before Cat saw Rob's body with it's head cut off. <name redacted>she said, before she had her throat slit. Uncle Stu... she said thinking of the blackfish but unable to make the words.
That should do it.
That should do it.

I could see it going down like that.
The Reeds lead Bran & Co to the wall, Osha refuses to go back since she fought so hard to get across it once and knows what's coming. Rickon, still being very young, could be clinging to her as a replacement mother figure, especially since Hodor has been Bran's primary care-giver and Osha has been Rickon's since they fled Winterfell. Because of this Rickon would want to go with Osha. The Reeds could urge him to go with her as well, but I doubt the writers would need to go that far.
