Yeah my disappointment started when Bran warged and we just saw the ravens. I thought we were going to learn more. The ending was obviously a disappointment because we needed an exchange between NK and Bran.

Bran was too busy watching the action in a KL whorehouse for that

No one cares about rightful heirs.

It’s about who takes it.

Jon doesn’t want it. I think Dany is going to have to die for Jon to be king

Won't the last two or three episodes be much more entertaining with more of the main characters around? This isn't season 3 or 4 where main characters can get killed and then have their voids filled with new people. If everyone had died in this episode that some fans wanted there would be no one left that anyone had any interest in.

Fair point.

I thought about 10 characters were going to die. Six of them did.

I figured this would be a time to clear the field a little bit more so you wont have to spread around as much screen time.

Varys for example. I am sure he's going to die but why not kill him off? he doesnt serve much of a purpose anymore. The master of whispers isnt doing you too much good these days, at least not enough to give him screen time. He has oonly had a minor part this season any way so they obviously dont care about his character too much.

Greyworm is another example obviously. Most people dont like the Greyworm/ Missendei story line. He was in the thick of things and they easily could have killed him off and that would have done away with a useless love story. Although if it leads to seeing Missendei's glorioust tits again I am all for keeping him alive.

I would have even liked to see Gendry go. He just adds another politics aspect that could just muddy the final three episodes. If it were the books, sure, throw him in the mix. But he has been a non factor the majority of the show, why make him a major character now?

All that being said, I was fine with who they took out. Its not like there isnt going to be another battle to satisfies everybodys death wishes.

I think we just thought there was more to it than the NK wanting to kill the Stephen Ambrose of the Seven Kingdoms.

Dany does, or has been touting it years now.

I probably agree with this.

Gendry isn’t really a factor

He’s a bastard, he’s has no army. At this point lineage has nothing to do with who’s gonna be on the throne.

We already know where he came from. The Children of the Forest were losing a war with the First Men and created the Night King to kill Men. They SHOWED us when he was created.

Bran ALREADY showed us where the Night King and walkers came from.

Lots of people see this show without watching this show.

The biggest question most people want answered is why the NK is coming after the 3ER. You dont really get that answer except to just assume that Bran is the only one who could figure out a way to beat him.

I'm sure (read: hope) the books will get more into it

in the show, the NK was simply a representation of "death", and a heavy handed one at that

They literally told you in the episode before this one why he wanted Bran

Was Melisandre realizing that Arya was "the one" that would kill the Night King?

Or was she realizing that Arya is the next person on the Iron Throne?

Or was she realizing Arya was pregnant with the next king on the iron throne?

Sam told you last episode.

The NK is the death of man. The 3ER is the memory of man.

The NK wants to kill all man and make sure no ones remembers them.

He is the final death.

Exactly. It’s like when Ned was talking with someone about Tywin. They were saying Tywin was the most powerful man in the world and Ned simply asked, “Then why is he not King and Robert is?”

This is it exactly.

And if the Night King was so focused on killing the Three-Eyed Raven from the beginning, why in the hell didn't he march north to kill the original Three-Eyed Raven before he did anything else?

I think the set up for this is: Arya goes after #1 on her list of names - Cersei. Cersei sicks Mountain on Arya. The Hound comes out of nowhere to protect Arya and the CLEGANEBOWL ensues. Will be glorious.

What would be better is Arya goes after Cersei. Mountain catches her by the neck. Arya pulls the little dagger trick again, Mountain laughs and crushes her fricking skull. Hound shows up, CleganeBowl ensues.

I know they lived there, were they created out of the ground? Maybe I need a refresher on that

...but they were also on Dragon Stone, I guess to hide from the Night King? I think a prequel would be cool I guess.
