I'm very worried about this.
HBO Go has crashed with every season premier of Game of Thrones (outside of the first season).
So I really doubt it will be working as expected Sunday evening, and twitter will be all over the HBO account again just as in years past.

They claim they've bolstered their servers each year to accommodate the viewers but EVERY year it happens and crashes and permanently buffers for a while and everyone gets outraged and complains.

At the heights of its powers Baywatch used to get that many viewers around the world. Might not be that much of a stretch. Lot of freaking eyeballs either way.

It’s definitely a stretch. They’ve never had more then 12.1 viewers. Even if there’s an average of 10 people watching per screen (most will likely fewer then that) it still falls way way short. The pirating estimates last year were around a 100M but that’s including a lot of people downloading/ streaming multiple times each.
And that Baywatch bit is mostly speculative too. Now maybe 1B total people watched the show at some point but doubtful for an average or one episode.
