I just hope we learn how NK came to be, who was he before being turned into the NK. Or based off the downvotes, people already know.

Yeah I remember that part in Bran's greensight vision, but I would like to know who he was and why he was chosen. I would also like to know if the Children of the Forrest have a means to destroy him outright.
Also, I can't remember if it was discussed last year, but did they stab the NK in the chest with dragonglass to create him?

Reaction was very tame, even reasonable at first, but now the Hodor Militant have started to show up.

Yes that's exactly what they did.
So it makes sense that dragon glass kills them.

Yes, then the Children did the same thing with Benjen Stark.

That's exactly why I said we'd have to have two. People literally can't handle someone who knows anything beyond what's shown on the show. They've even complained about HBO content on the website before being shared.

I visit their thread from time to time for the lols, not that it takes long to read that little thread.

*tinfoil hat on*
Benjen is a pawn of the night king and only "saved" bran to get him to the wall ASAP, so he can pass through it, allowing the night king and friends to get through.

i really hate the whole time travel shite they started last season
Not time travel baw, it's more like past and future are all one tangent, present moment. Static time theory. I love it it's one of my favorite parts of the book; kind of reminded me of Dr. Manhattan's monologue in the Watchmen

Time is a flat circle.

I know folks get angry over the crackpot theory of Bran starting this whole mess with the Mad King, but besides completing Hodor's story arc there has to be another reason why they would choose that route.
Or maybe it's too convenient to say Bran fricked up the Mad King due to mind fricking him with visions of the future.

Think Benjen can communicate with the NK?

I know a lot of people expect this to happen, but it's just too convenient and stupid for it to be totally overlooked by Bran and Meera.

Yes it is too convenient and ruins his character. He needs some responsibility for his own madness. Which is why I like my own Crackpot theory more that he, Tywin, and Pycelle burnt down Summerhall to get rid of a good king, a decent heir, and the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard. The regret of this and fear that Tywin would do this to him eventually (which he pretty much did at Duskendale and would have if it weren't for Barristan) is what drove him past the breaking point.

Cold hands couldn't pass under the wall in the book. I assume he touched Sam or Bran at some point leading them around North of the wall and rescuing them.
I think the NK thing was a convenient way to speed up Bran's departure from the 3 eyed raven and the cave under the tree. Kinda hard to keep showing scenes of Bran hanging on to a root all white eyed time and time again.

I can get behind this.

I don't think this makes it better. Worse, actually.
