First, frick every one of you people that posted spoilers. Right when Dani headed north I knew the NK was going to get a dragon.
Second, the writing has suffered. This show has gone from a character driven show with great plot and subtle nuances to an all out action show with little depth, that said, the conversations with Tormund were awesome.
Finally, the whole Arya v Sansa subplot is the most interesting thing going in the show. What happens there is a mystery. I know we should believe that they would both be on Team Stark, but listening to Arya tonight reminded me of how much Arya did despise Sansa.

I agree, not sure what angle is getting played. It I find it and Jaime's storyline the most intriguing right now

Bad battlefield commander? How? His original strategy for BotB was as sound as you could get. It's not his fault Sansa is one of the biggest cúnt bitches in Westeros and didn't tell him about the KotV. If she had, he would've adjusted his plans accordingly and held out longer until the KotV got there.
At the Battle of Castle Black, he incorporated the defense of the Wall as good as anybody could then went down and was at the front of the battle. He defeated an enemy that outnumbered him maybe 1000:1 and you're gonna sit here and tell me he sucks in battle?
The only questionable thing I have was this excursion North.
You clearly haven't read the same books or watched the same show as I have.

Yeah in the 3 Eyed Raven thread we were wanting to call them all out, but doing so obviously would have confirmed it. There should be head, spikes, and walls all around.

I think Arya is smarter than we are giving her credit for. She is playing both Sansa and Littlefinger.
Arya may have doubted Sansa going into this episode but she was relieved of the doubt while talking with Sansa, but didn't want to show it so Sansa can tell LF how crazy little sister is. Arya is waiting for LF to slip up.
I still want Sansa to be the one to kill LF, but I would not be upset at all if Arya kills him and wears his face for a little while.

He was a dumbass to run after Rickon.

You wouldn't go try to save your brother? I don't hold that against him because I'd do the same exact fricking thing.

yep. Sansa told him that it was a trap and he goes off running solo. As Tyrion said tonight, sometimes the hardest thing to do is nothing, but sometimes it is the right thing to do.

This whole season Dany has said "I can't have children, I'm infertile, etc." because of Miri Maz Dur.
Plus Jorah told Jon to pass on the sword to his children.
I just don't know how they'll have time next season to progress a pregnancy if Cersei can't even grow her hair

To be fair to Jon, Rickon was a dumbass for not running in zigzags.

His original plan may have worked - if he hadn't made the decision to run forward and abandon it Sansa was an idiot for not telling him and Jon was an idiot for abandoning the plan.
I'm not going over he whole back end of it again, he defended well from a great high ground position which was very well fortified and held off until stannis came and defeated them. Good job Jon but that was all covered plenty last time and no need to do it again.
But excursion up north was idiotic and ultimately disastrous.

It's just bizarrely impractical to go on a suicide mission to convince someone as batty as Cersei.
I agree the mission was stupid. That said, I think it is more for Jaime. Tyrion knows his sister is a lost cause but Jaime could maybe be turned.

If there ever is a Westerosi Olympics, Nights King will win Javelin, probably all throwing events.
Gendry will win rowing and all long distance events.

Meanwhile Sansa was doing the exact same thing by being a righteous bitch and withholding valuable information from him that could've saved thousands of lives. Let's just gloss over that.

Another thing, why didn't Benjen just go with Jon? He says, "there's no time." What does that even mean? There's no time so I guess I'll just stay here and die for certain? Dude, just jump on the horse and go with him.

I could have watched a whole episode of Tormund, The Hound, Beric, and Thoros bullshitting.
If only we could add Bronn to that crew in place of Thoros...that would be amazing.

I had the same thoughts in regards to Benjen. I guess they just wanted to give his character some sort of closure
.
I was hoping they would've caught Hodor out there as the Wight they bring to King's Landing.
