Yep, unless R and L secretly got married. If not he's The Great Bastard

Not if Lyanna and Rhaegar got married. Wouldn't be the first time a Targaryean had two wives.

Could what they showed simply be clips from future episodes not necessarily just next week?

Before Mance attacked The Wall, didn't they have like 100,000? I know they weren't all fighters, but it seems like they should have more than 2000 soldiers left

Not if they were married. Although with that said, I'm not sure how polygamy is viewed from a legalistic standpoint in Westeros. They let the Targs intermarry, so why should multiple wives be any different?

Even if they weren't married bastards still have a claim. Their claim is just always pushed to the back of the line when there is a true heir. It also seems that if the parent is still living it requires some sort of approval. If bastards had no claim whatsoever Ned wouldn't have cared one bit about Gendry.

Only 2k left with them from Hardhomme

And probably scattered when Mance died.

Gendry proved the incest angle. Ned didn't really care about his throne (Ned wanted to put Stannis on the throne). Gendry's looks showed that Joffrey and co weren't Robert's children. "The seed is strong" and all.

I 100% believe that Rhaegar and Lyanna got married. The Targaryens have a polygamy history.

Has anyone mentioned that with Brienne at the wall, Ice (or part of it) is now back in the presence of multiple members of the Stark family? Any chance we see one of the Starks taking it at any point (especially if Brienne dies)?

And one giant. It will be like one of those "how many second graders can you take on?" threads

I think the 100k number was always a bit of stretch. It include women, old folk and children. Also how do you count that.

If Brienne dies, maybe? Jon has Longclaw and Sansa has no use for a sword except to give it to a loyal knight.... And she has exactly one loyal knight.... Who already has the sword.

Also for the Howland Reed is the High Sparrow believers on here, did his story from this episode change your belief in the theory at all?
Posted on 5/16/16 at 9:27 am to CorporateTiger
They'll just call him a liar.
I've never believed it. But it was a good theory.

Are non-book readers who pay attention and have a clue welcome here? I had to pull the rip cord on the Hodor thread.

So is the great victory the Red Woman saw in the flames, Jon's victory over Ramsay?
