Jamie is my favorite character by far in the books. I hate how they've destroyed his arc in the show.
Anyway, I know several people who have read the books but haven't combed the entire internet looking for answers and you'd be surprised how many of them have no clue about R+L=J.
So whoever said that the reason it seems predictable is because millions got together online to figure out the story is right.
I mean how much did anybody miss on their first read through the books? I missed a ton that was so obvious after a reread or a little internet sleuthing.
I still remember reading Melisandre looking in the flames and all she seen was "Snow, snow, snow." Hell I thought she just saw actual snow. I felt like an idiot when I realized she meant Jon Snow. Duh

I wonder why D&D didn't give him his eye patch? Seems like an easy costume prop to use.

It looked like a cut on the cheek, so I doubt there would be any need for an eye patch for that.

Thats what I was thinking as well

Yeah, reading his chapters in the books are actually very easy to me compared to the others. Jaime is very much how I myself think, and as much as I hated him, I was shocked from the start how much I was identifyiing with him. I was thinking I'd make every single decision he did with his options and passions presented to him.

Fair enough. I would love to see him expand on his critisim. There have been numerous people throughout this thread pointing out his failure to flesh out his opinion.

Even fricking your twin sister?
What a fantastic episode! I was so pumped at the end when Jon took his first breath!

Well, hopefully except for the fricking your sister part.

I don't have a passion for fricking my sister, hence that portion of what I said.

Granted, that's certainly not how I imagined Euron. I always imagined him as a pure evil Jack Sparrow.

Crows Eye vs Ramsey would be interesting

I'm sure that they are going to cast a 12 yr old girl giving birth.

Crows Eye is such a cool character. Awesome nickname. Badass ship called Silence, because all the crew members are mutes who have had their tongues ripped out. Just a great character

Next episode is ToJ...and purists will probably bitch about how it wasn't verbatim to the books o
The dialogue was great in the book. That said, it would be absolutely horrific to watch that play out on TV.

Terrific episode. I still wonder why they waste scenes like the guy bragging about Cersie and his cock, but I guess it's better to have that than a Sand Snake scene.
So, the present for Ramsey that was in the next week's spoilers...what are the chances that's Rickon?

I think the High Sparrow overplayed his hand with Jaime. Jaime knows what to expect now and will plan accordingly.

I was very pleased with our first glimpse of Euron. Dude comes across as nutty as a fruitcake but a very formidable person all the same and someone who would be a frightening foe.
I did have some nit-picks with the episode. But I've posted those in the SFP/Carson thread so I won't repeat them here.

Predictable.
Count me in the 1%. I refuse to believe that Jon (or Dany) is some savior that through military action saves the world.
GRRM was a conscientious objector and pacifist. He also goes out of his way to flip tropes.
