I don't think it's much of a spoiler to be honest.

More importantly, do all of the Dornish really align themselves with Ellaria and the Sand Sluts? The guards didn't do shite when he died.

There's no way Dorne would support a Paramore and some bastards after they killed the descendants of Nymeria. They either pretend Doran's still alive, since he never leaves anyway, or spin a story about Jamie Lannister killing Doran and taking off with Trystane and Myrcella. Still, someone other than than Ellaria and the Sand Snakes would take over Dorne.

Seriously?

I mean - it only confirms what we have been wondering about for the last 5 years.

Yes, we all thought it was extremely likely but still....

According to someone in the Reddit thread...

That image is a shop. It's from last season when she was talking to Jon in his chambers and she gets right up in his face. It's been tilted and all of the red crap added.

I'll believe it when I see it, but won't be surprised if I do.

The show doesn't give a shite about that. It knows only girl power. And homos. God, the Sand Sluts suck.

Did someone ever explain why he wasn't on the ship with Jaime and Myrcella?

Because the show writers along with the author (who left Hollywood because they kept changing good stories to suit the masses) don't give a crap what the fans think. They will serve us shite and we will thank them for it.

This.

I think this was pretty much the odds on favorite that this would happen pretty much since the book that character was stabbed in came out.

Sure, there was always a chance that it would go some other way. But I think if any of us were forced to bet everything we have on an outcome that one would have always been the safe way to bet.

Even if that is a photoshop I'm thinking it is not far off the mark.

I think it's fairly clear that a Dorne/6 Kingdoms war could be a viable replacement for (f)Aegon's invasion of Westeros.

Honestly, it provides conflict in the southern area but manages to avoid the whole problem of introducing Aegon (bit late now) and the question of who he really is in the grand scheme of things.

If so, then I guess we have some clue on whether Dorne will decide to support Aegon in the books.

Do most here buy the theory that Jon is Lyanna and Rhaegar Targaryen's son?

I would have to assume yes.

I 100% believe this.

I honestly lost all hope in D&D ever getting the Dorne story back on track.

Now I am just worried how they are going to frick up the Iron Islands Kingsmoot.

But honestly, I think anybody who read the books could have come up with a better plot in Dorne.

Ok, so you cut Quentin...ok. While I do think it would have been awesome to have a character built up as a key piece only to become dragon food would be good TV, it also would take time from more important plots.

Ok, so you cut Princess Arianne. I guess you aren't going to explain how Dorne was trying to back the Targs and how they are playing the long game. I guess non-book readers would be completely lost and not have a clue who Viserys was anyway. She really didn't have too much plot in the books but having her seduce a kingsguard, trying to start a civil war between Mrycella and Tommen, etc. Would be good TV, but time consuming. I can see that getting cut.

The sand snakes...what the frick.

What's funny is if they really wanted to go all-in on a girl power storyline they already had an established character in Yara that would have been better received than Ellaria.

no, that's the guy.

Prince Doran tried to marry his heir Princess Arianne to Viserys but after he was given a golden crown, Doran had to resort to a backup plan. Princess Arianne is freaking out because she is early to mid-20s, hot, and unmarried. She thinks her father is trying to screw her out of the inheritance by having her younger brother attempt to marry Dany and so she lashes out.

If you needed a rebellion in Dorne, this would have been a much better setup.

gotcha. so much interesting and rich history to this series. its why i like reading this thread. i just couldnt stand Martin's writing style and the endless chapters of nothing happening. if he cut out most of the bullshite filler in his books, it wouldnt take him so long to write.

It's crazy how all the major houses are being wiped out so fast in the show.

The Martells - got eliminated for the most part last night.

The Lanisters - Jaime, Cersie, Kevan, Lancel, Tyrion That's it.

The Starks- Sansa, Bran, Rickon, Arya

The Arryns - Sweet Robin (lol)

The Greyjoys - Yara, Theon, Euron

Tyrells - Whole crew still in tact. Probably in the best position too.

Baratheons - Completely wiped out unless you count Tommen
