I'm not really sure. It was just a guess on my part since they shy away from flashbacks in general. But I do think it would be a good way to re-introduce Bran, get some backstory in immediately, and get going into Jon's storyline all in the opening minutes.

Probably, but I think that is something they'll reveal through Bran.
I would absolutely love it if it was the cold open (if they even have one this season). I thought they were going to make Cersei's flashback the cold open last year, but we didn't get one.
