what about it......... it was 2 shots of her staring at him being leadery. But if that scene makes you go "OMG who is his mother" then i really dont know what to tell you. Have fun with your series. I would just wish this thread didnt have this argument every single thread about an episode.

I don't disagree with you, and if you read back a few pages, I've said the same thing. But now that theories are flying around, the reason I said RObert and Lyanna is because several times we saw Robert talk about how in love he was with her. Like in this one. And when Ned and Jon Snow part ways and he tells JS that he may not have his Stark name, but he's got his blood, that could mean something.

My gf thought JS was the son of Ned's sister right after this scene where he says you don't have my name but you have my blood. And then when JS asks about if his mother knows about him etc Ned gets a sad look on his face. I never caught it and told her she was crazy at first. But, I could see it fitting into the show because they can really throw you for a loop sometimes.

My wife, sisters, and several female friends thought the same thing from the same scene. None of my friends who are guys picked up anything from that scene. It's been crazy to see the difference between sexes watching that one scene.

Last night someone mentioned Rhaegar and Lyanna. Now I have no idea if the two even met but when Oberyn first got to King's landing, he bitched about Rhaegar seeing someone behind his sister's (Rhaegar's wife) back. Why he felt that was important is odd considering his sister was raped and killed and her children slaughtered at the order of Lannister.
Seems like the affair would be the last thing on his mind. But he shared it with the audience (us). Was she Lyanna?
