maybe Tywin has crushed his last beetle and will be kicked in the chest by a mule.

The Martells will be more pissed now that they know, for a fact, a Lanister bannermen murdered Elia Martell and her offspring. I doubt they have much to gripe about with the Viper volunteering to fight.
I can't imagine that it was a huge secret. Hell someone had to tell Oberyn since he wasn't there.

The hell is Gendry anyway? Is he not important enough to warrant an update without being near someone else?
Oh well. At least that way we're assured nothing will happen. No one in the current timeline has ever died off screen.
So far.

Stannis is going to save something/someone, and finally give us a reason to like him.

I like stannis....i feel that he, arya, dany, bran and Jon snow are the most critical characters to the story.

Why would Gendry kill Tywin? Gendry is another one I have no idea about, but I doubt he gets near Tywin. He has no reason to run into danger like that. Nothing to save or gain. Maybe he meets up with the pirate guy or finds old friends in KL.

I think Gendry has served his purpose. If he comes back it'll deal with Arya

I agree that he's done for a while.

I don't know if this has been posted here or not, but I think this pic is pretty cool. Just the Mountain and Viper chilling, in happier times..

Pedro and Lena are boning off the set. Can't resist that Oberyn swag.

He seems like such a cool dude in his interviews.

Can anyone give me cliff notes for the thread, not only is 48 pages pretty long, it's much longer than the book readers thread so I assume about 20 pages are spoilers followed by a back and forth on whether someone is a secret book reader or not.
Also, is everyone assuming Tyrion's going to die now, because that would seem to be a good enough reason for GRRM to keep him alive. Although in the long run, what role would Tyrion really have to play in a war against the White Walkers? Comic relief?

No, I think he is going to live, because the Mountain will die from the injuries, thus making it a draw and saving his life

There haven't been any real spoilers. Not that that stops some people from bitching.
There probably was 20 pages of discussion on who was spoiling what and who is and isn't a reader.
About 5 pages was (once again) devoted to discussing the "rape" scene in episode 3. Not sure why
Another 10 pages devoted to How we felt when Oberyns head was smashed in.
The rest is just odds and ends.
Most, like myself, believe Tyrion gets away but we don't know how. He's a smart fella and could be a very good diplomat for someone trying to unite the seven kingdoms + dany to fight the WW.

Great recap, you just saved me a lot of time
The most likely thing to me seems to be that Stannis will take KL. Either Tyrion/Bronn/Jamie escape when all hell breaks lose, or Stannis kills Tywin, Tommen, and Cersei, and allows Jamie and Tyrion to live because they aren't threats to him and he'll need the Lannister army vs. the White Walkers.
