When both writers, the director, both actors and GRRM come out after the episode and tell everybody it wasn't rape, just a poorly edited scene, then it's not rape. Cersie wanted that dick.

D&D fricked up is all.

Well, all I know is what I saw in the episode, and it looked like rape to me.

So her kissing him and running her hand through his hair and pulling his shirt up and pulling him close was all against her will? Sure she kept saying "no it's not right" but actions speak louder than words bro

I think I'm one of the few that likes Stannis. He's so rigid and by the book it's hilarious.

Haven't read the books so I can't speak to that, but I did like Stannis up until he became the redhead's bitch. Since then, he has killed people who he never would have and has betrayed his own. He was ready to kill Onion Knight.

I love when people say, "it's just business" and that absolves everything

But yes, I know Bronn didn't exactly "sell him out", but it was just an easier way for me to describe it. I just figure if Tyrion does die, we won't see Bronn at all anymore. If Tyrion lives, will we see him much anyway? Will Cersei screw up his marriage or will he just go away and live with his new bride?

Really? Damn, I guess I need to get on that re-watch I've been planning for a while

I thought Stannis was shown without her and with the now ex-wife at first? My memory sucks.

What ex-wife? Stannis' wife is fully on board with their relationship - the wife converted first, then encouraged Stannis to.

I guess so.

yeah, but you don't see how much control she has over him til later. Every "king" has advisers, but you think that person is the final decision maker. In Stannis' case, he's a witch's Bitch.

Yeah, the wife is crazier than all of them it seems.

Ok, that refreshed my memory a bit.

I just didn't remember the witch being in control until later, so I guess I confused it with her not being part of the equation until later. Thanks for clearing it up.

Yeah, I haven't read the books. The articles were everywhere after the episode. GRRM said it wasn't rape because it wasn't in the book, according to the article - not me.

I think they did that on purpose if it's also true about Dany and Drogo. Consistency. They may have said some bs about angles and what not, but I don't buy it, especially if Book Dany wanted it from Drogo. Feminists and their "rape culture" bullshite.

That doesn't mean she wasn't always in control. The first time we see Stannis aren't they burning some people or idols or something? That was her doing.

Finally got to watch, been avoiding this entire board for three days.

Damn...that ending was just....heavy. It kinda pissed me off at first, but there's really no point considering that's just how Martin rolls. I thought it was pretty stupid Oberyns wiping the floor with the Mountain and then just woop, head crushed in a single move. I wish they would have just somehow done that differently. Say have him kill the mountain, then he keeps ranting and tries to kill Tywin and gets taken down by the guards. I don't know...just felt like a really cheap way to get taken out. Look at this gif:
I mean as nimble as that dude was the entire fight, he couldn't hurry and roll away when he knocked his feet out from under him? Oh well, just gonna let it go.

That head explosion will not soon leave me...I mean shite.

I think Gregor had his big paw on him as soon as he hit the ground - it almost looks like he knocked him down, then brought him back up in one, relatively smooth, motion.

Yeah - I think so at this point - what I don't see is Dornish help with the dragons this time - more likely, the Dornish are going to help the dragons.

There is no one with enough influence to convince of that. He is a Tywinn puppet now.
