I know "it's in the script", but why didn't Yara just kill that psycho frick while he was jingling his keys? That was dumb and like everyone else, I hope they get somewhere with this storyline soon.
The dragon looked really cool. But so bored of Daenerys.
Sucks when we don't get Arya and the Hound in an episode. Especially one that ends too early
Shae already sucked, but now she's gone and done it. Understandably, the royal count Cersei probably would kill her if she didn't testify, but it was just so ridiculous.
Peter Dinklage is the man
I remember seeing him years ago in Nip/Tuck (yes, I know) and thinking he was a great actor then. He had me going tonight. I thought he was so ruined he would just confess and get it over with. His "confession" was a thing of beauty. And his smirk at Tywin was awesome.
Oberyn leaning in was awesome and you guys are probably right, he'll fight the Mountain. How cool is Tyrion? Cersei is such a bitch, I cannot wait to see her die.
Oh, and even though Varys is upfront about being a bitch, it was still shitty to see him go against Tyrion.

That really pissed me off. It's bad enough there is normally 5 minutes of intro + 2 minutes of closing credits but tonight they took it a step farther and ended it 10 minutes early. C'mon man..

It was from the other greyjoy soldiers that they killed on the way in.

I thought his answer to Tyrion's question made it pretty clear he isnt entirely against him. Seemed like a bit of foreshadowing, otherwise it was a pretty meaningless exchange.

Yeah, true. And like Shae, the choice is to testify against Tyrion or die, so there's also that

Varys has a soft spot for Tyrion somewhere in that dickless heart of his.
Shae is just a lying count.
Shae is just a lying count.

Varys clearly didn't like doing what he did IMO. But he was in the position where he had to tell the truth. Shae on the other hand is just a malicious bitch.

Yep. Varys really was repeating exactly what Tyrion said. Shae was just making up shite.

Yeah, the spider is playing the game per norm. To be expected. Shea is just a spiteful count. She shouldn't even be in kings landing.

A few questions about trial by combat:
1) Should this not be decided before the trial begins? I would think the accused would be given the choice of trial by jury or combat before proceeding.
2) If someone does request trial by combat, shouldn't they be the one to fight for their innocence and not be allowed to choose or hire some bad arse fighter to represent you? I understand the Prosecution can choose someone to represent the people, but not the one on trial. I don't remember if the rules were explained during Tyrion's first trial in season 1, so I guess I need to re-watch it.

now I'm interested in what Ramsay is going to have Theon do.
Seemed pretty obvious to me that he's going to send him home as a mole and I guess kill his family. I'm not liking the Reek story right now. Hopefully it concludes this season.

I think this has something to do with
quote:
The Laws of Gods and Men
They leave it up to the gods. Like when the Hound killed the guy that then came back to life. I think it's in the religions of GoT that they take the fate of the accused out of their hands and leave it up to the gods so to speak

I mean...come on. That was one of the main things they showed in the preview trailer for the new season.
I am not sure if Tyrion just goes straight for Oberyn, or if people turn him down then he gets Oberyn. We just know it's happening.

Wait...I was under the impression that Shae was doing that because they gave her a bunch of money.

I thought it would be interesting if he picked Jamie which would make Tywin pick someone to fight against both of his sons

I think he will go straight for Oberyn. Tyrion is one of the smartest characters, he knows Tywin will choose The Mountain to fight and he obviously knows Oberyn wants vengeance.
