Pretty sure they normally fight for themselves. You can have a proxy if someone VOLUNTEERS I believe. You don't just get to choose someone else to fight on your behalf.
Bronn did it before because he saw an opportunity to get paid.
Oberyn will need the least convincing. He'll probably jump at the offer if Tyrion asks. But not sure what the rules are of having a trial judge being one of the fighters.

Great episode. Like everyone said Dinklage killed it in that scene.
Also when Yara was giving her speech as they were heading in on the boats, I wanted to look around and go to battle with someone.
It got me pumped up.
Then she got on the boat and said frick it he is dead and rolled out. hahah.

Great episode and one of the better endings also. This episode I fell will be one of those we wlook back on when something big happens later this season or the next.
Thoughts:
Tyrion refuses the deal Jaime got him and I loved it. Tyrion not gonna take the fall for this. Trial by Combat it is. I could see Jaime being the one to fight for Tyrion's life. He wants to prove he is still effective with one hand and I dont see him wanting to trust his brothers life with someone else. The stare down between Tywin and Tyrion....just wow. The love is gone. Cant beleive Shea screwed Tyrion, but Im sure Cersei and Tywin gave her a deal she couldnt refuse, plus she still salty that Tyrion had to drop her for Sansa.
So Tywin is gonna send Ravens to Mareen?? Think we could see another attempt on Dany's life. Lannisters love making back room deals to eliminate folks. Wonder who Twywin tries to contact to try and kill Dany and/or the Dragons? Grey Worm? The Second Sons? The former power brokers of Slavers Bay? He will have some choices
Stannis getting the funding and the backing of the Iron Bank of Bravos is HUGE! Great play and speech by Davos to convince the IB to back Stannis. Sets up so much I think. The Lannisters are officially broke. No more money coming to the crown. Eventually word will get out and once that happens, the Lannisters need to watch out. Stannis has 4k men and now has Salladhor's ship to reach Kings Landing. Also, do the Tyrells kill their relationship as well? They already knew of the Lannisters debts, but now they know that Stannis is coming back to Kings Landing to finish things. They have a decision to make as well.
Why havent we seen Gendry yet? He seemed to be an important player at the end of last season.

Jamie will not be fighting.
1. He's already very insecure about his fighting abilities since his dominate hand was cut off. He's not going to trust himself to be the best person available to defend his beloved brother.
2. Everybody knows Oberyn and the Mountain are going to fight. Let's be real, this is it.
