Actually re-watched it again, Sansa asked tyrion If they could leave now and tyrion said let's find out. They definitely did it.

Tyrion seemed way too shocked to be in on it.

Why would tyrion mention something about finding out then? I have the impression he wanted to see the little shite head die, and make sure Sansa got out of their alive.

That lends itself to the idea that Dontos did it because he wouldn't be able to get close to Joffrey at any other time except for that day.

Surprised more people aren't alluding to this. He cane in town for what seemed only like revenge

After watching it again, it slipped my mind that Ceresi made it a mission to send home Pycelle, the medicine man. Just another factual observation.

I think You're confusing Dantos, the fool, with the gay second son prince from Dorne.

Also, on another note, if you go back and watch the scene with Tywin and Old Lady Tyrell walking to the reception it looks like she is clutching something in her left hand. Probably the poison she brought as backup in case Sansa didn't wear the Fool's necklace. The poison she put into Joffrey's cup in front of everyone in the audience, the people sitting beside her on the stage, and the Kings Guard standing behind her.

If she is the one that poisoned Joffrey by putting something in his cup at the table then that's a huge stretch for me to believe she could do something like that without just one single person noticing especially when paired with the theory that she had to use the fool to deliver a necklace to Sansa with a poison pill shaped like a stone and attached to Sansa's necklace because there was no way she could have just had a hidden pocket
sewn into her dress somewhere and smuggle it in on her person.

She would have been FAR more likely to get caught putting something in his cup than she would have been smuggling in a single poisonous pill.

The only reason I even give the poison necklace theory any credit is because of the previews before the show starting showing the fool giving Sansa the necklace.and then him being there to help her escape when the shite hit the fan.

I hadn't even thought that he was a medicine man. He could have potentially saved Joffrey.

Revenge against the Mountain and Tywin more so than the King is why I don't suspect him.

But he is a person of interest in the ongoing investigation.

Unless he had Sansa smuggle in the exact antidote for that particular poison on her necklace then even of he was there he wouldn't have had time to save Joffrey. He was dead within a cpl minutes of when he started choking.

Pycelle couldn't have even gotten his old arse up out of a chair and walked over to Joffrey in time. Cersei just hates his old perv arse and needed to be a bitch to someone to feel like she was still running shite so she picked him. That's why she told her Dad something about the simple pleasures in life putting her into a better mood.

I wouldn't put it past Ceresi, she was very quick blame Tyrion.

She also made it clear to Pycelle that she was still the Queen.

Idk. It happened so quickly, unless Pycell had the exact antidote on his person he couldn't have been of any use I don't think.

Well, because her kid died. I think if your son died in your arms pointing at a guy holding the cup of wine that killed him, you may jump to some conclusions as well.

I would say Tywin or Jaime could have had a hand it the assassination, but not Cersei IMO. But that would be quite the twist…

That's the part that confused me. Was it just a power trip, or was she hinting at something? Hmmm

Cersei actually stood to gain the most out of his death.

Cersei was definitely the most unstable throughout the episode. I think if any of the Lannister's had anything to do with it (which I don't think they did) then it would be her based purely on her actions in the episode.

She sure did, but she also had to kill her son. Remember her speech in season 3 about how all she has in the world is her children's love?
