Also, this is probably Germans, but this ranks up there with Charles Dance reading 50 Shades of Grey.

Yeah, she actually died right before the first season aired by a couple months I think. That's why she was never in season 2, they didn't want to replace her.

I've been trying to figure out why they changed the Blackfish's storyline.
In the books, he stayed behind at Riverrun during the wedding. That made sense as they needed someone strong in charge of the castle.
On the show, they have him accompany Robb and the rest to the Twins. But then they apparently give him an out by having him go outside to pee when the slaughter happens. That's a pretty weak plot device it seems to me.
Anybody have any guesses as to why they did this? Maybe they'll change his storyline up some way to require his being in that vicinity.
Best case scenario I can come up with is that he passed out. It's hard to see someone like the Blackfish running from the fight even with the odds being so stacked.
Ok- typing this up I came up with something (probably better for the Crackpot thread): Maybe he passes out, wakes up after the slaughter, kills and takes the clothing of a Frey (or Bolton) person and marches off with them. That would add weight to the speculation that he is somehow the "ghost" killing Frey and Bolton men later on down the road.

Have they given the blackfish that much screen time? I am guessing they will give us his view point post red wedding to build his character with the non-readers.

They could do it like one of those scenes before the opening title credits starts up. He walks out to see the destruction or something like that

I'm guessing it's because the person he stayed back with was Jeyne, Robb's wife in the book. Probably made more sense for him to go to the wedding as well.

It's possible they show him fighting his way out in the next episode too given the previews showed outside of the Twins with the banners burning.

Yeah. I guess its possible he just fights his way out. IIRC from the book some people did escape in the confusion (and The Hound and Arya of course). So that part would make sense. I do think the show would have to emphasize that it was hopeless for Cat and Rob (ie: they were already dead) when he did so though. Otherwise it would be way out of character for him to run.
Off Topic but there is a good review up at Tower of the Hand
I find I don't always see eye to eye with their reviews but this one is pretty spot on to how I saw things for the episode. (Except I didn't think the Rickon actor did a good job at all and the reviewer was raving about how great he was)

I was in this thread like 3 days ago...or 20 pages or so ago
I didn't see them linked any other weeks either. I started reading them about 5 weeks ago or so I hate being Germans
