that was Jon's wolf that fatty saw outside Chester the Molester's camp, right? Last I remember, wasnt that wolf sort of following Jon around in the snow right when that hot little ginger captured him? I thought those wolves followed their masters around. Did Jon shoo that thing away or something?
Yes it was Jon's wolf "Ghost" and he has been protecting Jon's friends in his absence. Same way it saved Sam from the walker in the first ep this season.

Dammit, I don't want to be in here so I'll make it quick.
ATTENTION ALL BOOK READERS
Leave this thread. The Middle Ground thread has been resurrected. Willing nonreaders can come there if they have a question. That is all. Goodbye.

We need the wall though, why does he want to burn it down?

Not even close to that analogy with regards to what's been posted as spoilers tonight.
It wasn't in reference to just tonight. But thanks though.

What did Mance mean about the largest fire the North had ever seen?
I think it means he's just going to light up a huge signal flare of sorts so that all the Wildlings head south at the same time.

Yep...and most of them don't see the harm in that. I - along with a few others - do.
It doesn't matter if you see it or not. Lets just not do it to make everyone's lives easier. While I don't see it myself, and certainly don't understand, if its that important to the non-readers to have their own thread then they can have it. If you've read the books just stay out.

You remembered all those just from the show? We haven't seen or heard Lady since season 1...
Impressive.

May be a dumb question, but is the wall completely made of ice? Or is it some mountain/ice thing?
I think it's 100% ice, because I saw something in Gizmdo or Lifehacker or Wired or something that was some engineering nerds who wrote this entire paper how "The Wall" was structurally impossible due to the physical nature of ice
It would collapse in on itself or something, I didnt read the entire thing

I actually was really interested in what the hell a dire wolf was when I found out they actually existed. One of the few things in the show that has stuck with me.

Alright, guys and gals. Enjoy your thread. I've done what I could.

Lady, summer and ghost are the only ones I remember

Only if someone is posting spoilers, which I am completely against.
Wrong. Because the dad didn't spoil it for the child and tell him it's a bike. He just guided him on the right direction. A better example would be if the kid opens it and sees the pieces and tries to put it together and figure out what it is, then the dad starts dropping clues instead of letting him figure it out on his own. But to be honest, the "kid on Christmas Day" analogy wasn't good to begin with.

The larger problem that is causing all this is that the stance being taken comes across as brash, in-your-face-and-daring-you-to-do-something-about-it elitism. Do you truly expect a group of people that post here to not respond when specifically called out over and over?
All or nothing stances never work and as long as you guys keep handling it this way, some readers are going to feel constantly provoked.
Asking bookreaders not to post in here is calling them out and provoking them? Aside from Belle (who was called out specifically, but even she handled it well and joked about it), nobody was called out in the OP. It was made as clear as possible who this thread was made for. Then that doesn't get respected and we have this conversation...conversations that would literally never exist if readers respected and honored the thread title.

not sure what the plan is - I'm still not sure where Jon Snow's allegiance lies. Guess we'll find out soon enough

Agreed. He seems to be a pretty loyal guy, and one that I think would take the Watcher of the Wall's "for life" policy seriously. I'm interested to see where his loyalties lie once his old and new groups come to a head. Something tells me he'll want to go back to his buddies, but the redheaded chick will make him question that move. Ultimately, I think he will though, and he'll bring her with him.

Sansa adopted one of them IRL

then he'll have to change their rules, because I'm pretty sure once they take the black, they have to give up the womenz

He thinks they are all dead now. All 300 have turned. These next few episodes will likely be crucial for his development because I think he will grow much closer to the only group he thinks he has left now.
I think the real entertaining part will be when he realizes his friends are alive.
