Something will change IMO. I think something will happen that will allow him to leave the Watch. If I get creative, I can see him kinda seeing her on the side, then getting caught, then something happening and him doing something awesome that grants him leniency and lets him out (to go back to Winterfell with her).

I still say he thinks he's the only one left.

That's fine, but we know he's not (spoiler alert for Jon Snow...you're not). I'm talking about after he realizes they aren't all dead.

Also, is every single one of them beyond the wall? Surely some had to stay behind to guard the wall, no? So he'd know that the whole Watch isn't gone.

(my apologies if that answer is obvious)

I think I recall from one episode that the wall was about 6k men. I may be wrong as hell, but if right, clearly 300 isn't all.

I like how frickface Joffery wasn't at that royal council meeting or in the show at all this episode.

His presence was not missed

that ginger's going to be his undoing, he wont be able to turn down her puff sushi. Something is going to happen, and he's going to make a bad decision

I'd like when Dany and Selmy where talking about her brother and selmy said something about Rhaeger being the last dragon and Dany says he wasn't the last dragon

True.

The more I think about it, the more I'm not so sure my theory would happen. I was kinda coming at it from a "happy ending" line of thought, when in actuality, there may not be a happy ending at all for most people here. They've (and GRRM) already shown that they have no problem killing off main characters, so maybe by the end of all of it most of these people are dead or in really shitty situations.

I'm telling you. Dany is easily the most badass character on the show. She is the odds on favorite for the Iron Throne IMO. She is stone cold.

Me too. It was one of the few times I actually believed her to be a kinda badass. Most of the time it seems like she's just telling people how awesome she is, but I don't buy it. When she said that I actually felt like she was. Hopefully more of that to come.

I see Dany taking hold of Westeros not through only might. I see her taking it because her dragons are the only hope they have against the Wight Walkers.

Also, watching this episode made me laugh at how pissed Jon Snow and that whole set have to be sometimes. They're off in the cold arse shite (looks like they really film in snow) while everyone else on the show gets to film in fricking medieval paradise.

Wall is less than a thousand before the march. Benjen Stark and Mormont tell Tyrion that in season one.

Good call. Especially if fire is how you kill them.

Her brother was Viserys. I don't know who Rhaegar was exactly. I know the mad king was Aeris (sp?), who was king at the time of the rebellion.

Rhaegar was Dany's older brother and the crowned prince.

In season one, Mormont and the Maester of the Citadel are talking to Tyrion, asking him to talk to the queen...that they needed more men. The Maester said something to the effect of there being barely a thousand of them now.
