I am watching the rerun of tonight's episode and I was curious to watch the scene again that has Dany go up to the slave and offer water. The closed captioning says he "mutters" but would it be reasonable to assume that dude speaks the same language as the big nosed a-hole guy? Then, dany tells the interpreter girl that the slave said "let me die". I am now more certain that dany knows everything the slave trader a-hole says!

Good catch if true. Will look for it when I rewatch.

Well it has become outstandingly obvious that you're fighting an unwinnable war. So either put down your sword and be content to not have spoilers or ruin this thread for the other viewers week in and week out......

If I was the only one bitching about it, then I'd agree. And it's not unwinnable IMO. I hope that people can appreciate that no readers should post in here...some have done it already (or so far at least). A good start at least.

And nonreaders are free to still post about the show. I'm more than happy to discuss it with them.

Honest question: Why is he (or other readers) posting in here to begin with?

Honest answer: Because readers enjoy getting fresh takes on what's happening from people that haven't read the books.

It's like being with a blind person that opens their eyes and sees for the first time, or interacting with your kids on Christmas morning. It reminds the readers of the wonder and excitement they experienced when they were in your shoes.

You can enjoy that without interrupting our discussion. We don't need to be put on track so you can enjoy it more.

I will. As soon as I can discuss the show with people who have never read the books.

And when will you ("you" in general, not specifically you) ever know this is the case? The bullshite in this thread has already chased off a non-reader who was being accused of being a reader because they noticed something that others didn't. Every time anything was posted that someone else didn't remember, cries of "get out bookreader!" came quicker than any response confirming what they posted could show up.

How can a discussion be had when any answer to an asked question is called out to be some ban-worthy post because it MIGHT have been a bookreader?

But can we not accomplish this by just reading this thread and posting in the other one?

Back to the show, Dany was awesome with the slave guy. On second watch, I think it is much more clear she is wrecking shop soon. She was staring at all the slaves in miserable condition and questioning exactly how loyal the unsullied we're after they've been purchased.

Agreed. I think she was definitely seeing how faithful they'd be to her if she commanded them to turn on their trainers and wreck shop. That would be badass if it happened, but honestly, I just want to see some dragons fricking some shite up.

Please Note: If you have read any or all of the books, do not answer the following question, I dont care how "obvious" this should be

that was Jon's wolf that fatty saw outside Chester the Molester's camp, right? Last I remember, wasnt that wolf sort of following Jon around in the snow right when that hot little ginger captured him? I thought those wolves followed their masters around. Did Jon shoo that thing away or something?

Agreed. Its best for readers to just stay out of this thread. Regardless of who's right or wrong, it will just make it easier on everyone.

I don't recall him shooing him off, but I thought he just left the wolf with the rest of the watch because it was a short trip. It was certainly with the larger group when it saved Sam from the walker.

Remember the readers who constantly post in here have other threads they can talk about game of thrones so if y'all want to let your one spot devolve into shite slinging then that's up to you.

That one sentence sums up the fricking bullshite with all of this. "Us readers will post in your thread no matter what, even though we have multiple other threads to post in. So if you're not cool with that, tough fricking luck and your thread will devolve into shite."

Answering a question with information that is already known to non-readers is only an interruption because of your strident segregationist mindset. Were the names of the posters blocked out, you would not have considered it an interruption. You are trying to blame problems caused by your personal bias on others.

I noticed that too, and I agree. That definitely seemed like a clue that she could understand them, and why she'd want to take the interpreter with her (because she knows she's loyal).

But there is a thread for that. This is not that one.

No. It's like being with your kids on Christmas morning and saying "Okay, Johnny, open this one. It has wheels and a handlebar and you were asking about it at Wal-Mart a few weeks ago. I can't wait to see how surprised you're gonna be!!"

frick it. I'm just going to read the books so I can have a discussion without being told why its okay for book readers who don't post spoilers to post in the non book reader thread.

Did I say it was right or fair? No I did not

But that's the facts as of now. You basically have 3 choices:

1) start banning people next week
2) get over it and deal with it as long as no one posts spoilers
Or 3) read the books

Number 2 seems the easiest course of action to me.
