Rhaegar is who they were talking about who was a badass. Vaserys was the "He's no fricking dragon" butthole.

Also, watching this episode made me laugh at how pissed Jon Snow and that whole set have to be sometimes. They're off in the cold arse shite (looks like they really film in snow) while everyone else on the show gets to film in fricking medieval paradise.
They are shooting the north story in Iceland. Here's a cool video on the making of what they are doing

These episodes go by too fricking quick and then they hit you with a big scene and it's over. I'm really glad I never read the books yet.

Couple of questions.
1. Isn't there another Stark brother (or Ned's brother) that was lost on the other side of the wall? Has he been confirmed killed or could he still be wandering around out there or turned into a snow zombie.
2. I should know this but I can't remember, who are the people holding Jaimie and Brienne captive? Is it Bolton's men?

1. Benjen Stark. He is not confirmed dead but I,t is highly presumed.
2. Yes.
2. Yes.

yeah benjen makes an appearance in the first episode. He talks to John about the wall. He isnt confirmed dead but they arent out looking for him/ havent really said anything about him in awhile
I knew something was going to happen at the end there but I was thinking a big scar or something was pretty shocked when it happened

He's the leader of the Watch, right?

Same here. Like I had said, I thought they were gonna frick up (or take) his eye.

He is First Ranger.
Mormont is Lord Commander of the Night's Watch.

Benjen was first Ranger. Like he was the best swordsmen and shite to go out on missions/ recon etc. hes not the actual leader. just kinda a big dick

Didn't see that coming last night. Kind of disappointed that he lost a hand though. All of the best fighters in Westeros we never really get to see fight. Jamie fought Ned for like 5 seconds and Brienne while handcuffed. Drago went out way too quickly. I guess I just wanted to see Jamie go beast mode on some dudes.

I agree with you. We have been told how cool and badass the smart mouthed Jaime Lanister is and now its like well if he gets out alive he wont have a good trade to follow in the show... One of the first things I was thinking about was how is Tywin ( his father) going to react if Jaime ever makes it back to kings landing. is he going to treat him as broken like tyrion? probably not but maybe.. Both of his sons are broken/different

I think it's really intriguing. Jamie has always gotten by on his looks and his reputation as swordsman / Kingslayer. Does he have what it takes to be as crafty as his little brother, or is he now the weakest Lannister.
Posted on 4/15/13 at 7:42 am to FalseProphet
thats kinda what i was getting at. Tyrion had to be smart etc jaime did not. Now that they are considered to be on level ground in peoples eyes how will that play out.
he will probably say he lost it in war and still
one and be cheered for it
Tyrion gets so pissed

Agree 100%. And this isn't some Star Wars shite where we'll see him with a new hand next week.
