Yes, it is foreshadowed a lot more in the books too.

Multiple implications of a special connection that existed only between her and the dragons (then the eggs).

this wasnt some sort of epic finale in my opinion. I kinda saw this coming. Ned getting off'ed by Joffrey was much more dramatic

I could not say it any better myself. Last week's episode was much, much better than tonight's finale.

Apparently he can still get it up

I was speaking more to that little Jack Lalane routine he went thru. I was just waiting for him to break out a juicer and a stalk of celery

The most overt was her remarking about how hot the eggs where....but everyone else thought they were cold.

I also think it would have been better if she had walked out of the fire with the dragons instead of them finding her with them afterwards.

As for the girl with Pycelle, I would like to see more of her in the future.

Were people shocked she was the Dragon?

I thought that was apparent from like 3 eps ago?

Last week shocked me. This week didn't. This has been building and I alluded to it in another post before this episode even aired. I do plan on going to get the books this week and reading them. I'm not waiting an entire year.

I think the shocker is more that the eggs hatched.

If you are a reader, it is a MUST READ SERIES. And the books do a far better job of telling the story than the series. A LOT is being left out of the show from what I have seen.

I may step on some toes saying this, but I would rank it above LOTR even though it is unfinished.

Yeah, I figured that Dany was very special when it came to fire and dragons from very early on. Most especially after her brother got offed by Drago.

Edit: Not only that, but her hands weren't burned by the dragon eggs in an earlier episode while the hands of her servant girl were.
