Possible Mild Spoilers (It was covered long before this point in the books, but probably was cut out in the TV show).
Targs are special.
They don't really imply across the board magical ability, but they are a bloodline from Valyria, which had abilities that no one was able to recreate after they fell (The most notable being Valyrian steel).
One major change they did in the series was take away the violet eye color...shows that they are different more than just blonde hair.

That was my first thought when we first saw her and them in the first episode. Had a close up too.

so the pepaw is faking pepawedness and Kaleesi is a dragonmaster. The only thing that would have made that last scene even better was if she climbed on top of drogo in the fire and the dragons hatched then and she simultaneously sprouted dragon wings herself.

This is what's great about the story. They kinda lull you to sleep with the knights and castles and then BOOM here are some mother fricking dragons! How ya like them apples?

Overall, great show.
Finale was a bit meh. A bunch of table setting which seemed to drag and drag unnecessarily... and a nice payoff at the end.

I really have to say, the dragon thing was somewhat pervasive the entire season...not outright of course, but it did fall into that typical fiction storyline routine
*they were the last 3 eggs...we knew they were going to play a role in the future
