Could be. But it also could just be a hallucination of sorts that is manifesting itself in the forest (i.e. some version of someone's fears).

Wasn't the door still closed at that point though? If so, they had the talisman hanging up in there, so the monsters couldn't really do anything anyway.
Also, they may have known or sensed that Boyd had the Smiley-bile-covered bullets and kept their distance. In the end, didn't we see him shoot several of them to no effect though? So I guess the bullets experiment didn't work, right?

Correct. It was pretty clear they didn't work at first, but he continued to shoot not long after his first attempts failed.

Actually, it COULD still work…just slower. I think the fact the monsters are human will come into play very soon.

I think so too. I had no idea this week was the season finale and have no idea what they will be able to cram in this week and where they plan to leave us. Word is season 3 will start production next month and not finish until December.

I thought for a second after reading that, that episode 9 of Season 2 was the finale. The new episode is up.
