Also, the monsters can’t run, but smiley tan at victors mom to kill her at the tree?

FWIW I don’t think it’s ever stated that the monsters can’t run. I think they just don’t run because they frick with everyone and like to torment them. It’s more menacing for them to just walk around and slowly apprehend people.

that kills him was the same one that warned him about Tabitha digging on the radio from S1. Hmmm.

Digging the hole in the basement? Didn’t the hole collapse, which caused the house to collapse? Has any character mentioned anything about that hole since then?

I forgot to mention this earlier but I hope this is the end of Victor being the holder of all the key information. The 50+ year old acting like an 8 year old has really worn thin. Hopefully he takes a step back season like they have done with Kristy and Jim this season.

I think the key pieces of information we got from the hole in the basement were that the electrical cords don’t go anywhere (yet mysteriously work), and that it collapsed into the underground tunnels which is where the monsters live/sleep/roam/whatever.

They mentioned the house a time or two this season but I don’t think there was really much reason to delve into it any more than topical references.

I thought that final scene implied that Tabitha is actually Victors sister.
Oh, I like that one a lot. Could be. And I guess it would make sense if she remembers this place from her childhood that instead of dreams it was actually something that happened to her IRL. I don't think we've gotten much (if any) backstory on Tabitha and her family really either. I'm not sure I got that vibe from the last couple minutes of the episode though, so if that's what they are going for then they missed me on that. But that certainly could be possible and I like that theory a lot.

Anghkooey.

At the end of the season, a big reveal was that Tabitha and Jade were reincarnated from earlier residents Miranda (Victor's mother) and Christopher (the guy with the doll). Tabitha mentioned that they had tried and failed to save the children because "one of them was ours" (meaning that she and Jade were an item in another life). This would mean Tabitha is Victor's mother, not sister. It also means Julie and Ethan are Victor's half-siblings.

Another comment she made was that both she and Jade "have come back over and over again", meaning they are likely in some sort of loop where they die there, are reborn in the real world, then are brought back into the town again at some point (apparently with others, at least some of the time). It could well be that they are both reincarnations of original inhabitants.

The question then is: how did this all come to be in the first place?

I thought Kenny, in S1, explicitly stated/observed that.

A version of Tabitha and Jade were in the town at the beginning. They have been reincarnated many times. Miranda,Viktors mom, and Christopher being their most recent reincarnations before Jade and Tabitha. The original couple tried to prevent what happened and save the kids, including their own, but failed. I think there is a solid chance the ghost soldier Jade has seen a few times is a previous version of himself.

Maybe so. But I didn't think it was ever stated that they "can't." Just that they don't.

I love this show.

Hate that we have to wait another year before the next episode.

Gonna do a re watch of the whole series and see if I pick up on some things I missed.

Just watched all 3 seasons and read through this thread. I've seen you complain several times about no one talking to each other. That frustrated me for a while too, but we've also seen the characters specifically mention things that happened to other characters without us ever seeing them tell each other on screen. So I think they're trying to tell us that they are sharing information off screen to some extent.

I've also seen some complaints about how all the characters are always so short and angry with each other. I have to think that's intentional to show how the town just has everyone tensed up at all times.

So the monsters are immortal? If you kill one they just come back?

And we never saw what the totem pole doll things were supposed to be. Or what else is out in the woods? It seems like something larger than the monsters messed with Boyd/Sarah's tent, tried to come through the bottom of the RV, and messed with the cabin out by the totem dolls.

So why exactly was Jim the one that got killed? Jade and Tabitha discovered the same thing Jim did, but they only went after Jim. Did that have something to do with something Julie did?

I loved season 1 and 2 but absolutely hated 3. Hated it so much that it ruined everything for me and killed my interest in a season 4. Awful writing

Sorry for the bump, but I just finished Season 3.

So, in my mind it's pretty clear that Tabitha and Jade were part of the original settlement where they found all the vegetables growing. At some point that settlement was visited by the Man in Yellow (MIY) (possible reference to The King in Yellow?) who made a deal with the people of the settlement that if they sacrificed their children, they would live forever.

All of the townsfolk agreed to do it, except for Tabitha and Jade, so the MIY gave the townsfolk immortality (but really turned them into cannibal monsters). However, Tabitha and Jade are stuck in a timeloop constantly trying to save the children from the monsters (who are the immortal townsfolk).

Now, who are the other people in town? Could they be the souls of the townsfolk placed in new bodies who are also constantly reincarnated and tortured for the decisions they made in the past (i.e., to sacrifice the kids for a chance at immortality) or maybe they're the children, who have been reincarnated and always arrive at the town for Tabitha and Jade to try and save them?

Some additional questions:
-What are the noises they hear at night at the settlement where they found the vegetables? They stated the noises don't sound like the normal monsters, so what's banging around at night?
-What's the deal with the trance that Julie, Randall, and Marielle were in and what are the lasting effects on Marielle? We see Julie visits the dungeon and Randall hears/sees locusts, but how is Marielle affected?
-I think Boyd may be Martin reincarnated, but why was Martin chained up? Why did he have the worms under his skin that could kill the monsters?
-Where is the motel!?
-What was the significance of the boat missing from the picture of Boyd’s home?

I'm really hoping the writers can stick the landing on this show, but there are an awful lot of loose ends to tie up, especially if S4 is the last season (the late renewal has me worried).
