What was the point of Days faking out of the Mycogen guards with some random guy in his borrowed suit?
Now what? What was accomplished?

Maybe he isnt actually gonna stay on that planet but wanted demerzel to think she was correct in her assumption of where he went.
She said she knew where he went and he wouldnt be a problem, so she must think he is going to be with his lover from before. Maybe that isn't actually his plan though.

As i understand it, Mycogen is a sector, on Trantor, not a different planet. Which would explain him still being on the cycle , in the guardsman uniform.
I assume he’s planning meet with the robot sect leaders & show them the tool he took from Demerzel. As proof, as a bargaining chip, whatever.

Yeah my bad, it is a another district on Trantor. It is where Demerzel sent Song after wiping her memories though. She thinks Day is going to find her, in reality Day has something else planned like you alluded to.
So he sent the guy to get caught in Mycogen so that Demerzel will be even more sure that is where he is going to reunite with Song. Im guessing we'll see where he is really heading next episode.
Does seem kinda weird she wouldnt have sent her further away
but i guess with her memory wiped it didnt matter or she really just didnt care if Day went searching as she was probably over his behavior and he would be Dusk soon anyway.

Listening to the podcast and even they are confused as to where Mycogen is located. I was convinced it was a sector on Trantor, but Day telling Song he wanted to sit out a dark time 'here', which if it was the same planet wouldn't make much sense. That'd be like getting out of Washington DC or NYC and going to Arkansas or Kansas to weather the coming galactic Armageddon.
Conversely, if he's on a cycle and wearing a Claviger uniform, does he have free reign to travel anywhere in the Empire? They're like the palace guard, which would seem really sus and out of place showing up alone, way out on some farming planet, out of the way somewhere.

Did anyone catch the two girls had numbers? You think that’s a my oven thing or potential robots? I hope not robots bc I would think demerzel would notice.
Also the mule seems a bit “too good”. Hopefully they explain why he is so good at what he does.

It’s weird, Gaal has dreams of Mule killing her and Mule has dreams of Gaal killing him.
Something’s got to give I guess.

Might be they use those names as a tribute to robot kind? Could be their cultish way of tribute.
*ETA - Yeah, the Mule does seem OP and everything he does works out amazingly to his favor. Even when he doesn't plan for it, the name of Gaal ends up being dropped right as his doorstep, when Toran happens to be a Mentalic, and The Mule picks up on it, scans his brain and gets her name.
This suggests that the Mule and Dererzel might have a final showdown, because he can't mind frick his way with her, and she's got artificial abilities which can be used against him. Like how she picked up on the ultra frequency sound (guess that means it's not all in Gaal's head, but a real peek into the future?) indicating she's near a black hole.
Was the Novacula used on Trantor? Because that's the planet Demerzel says Gaal was on, in the library...

when Torran Mallow escapes in the pod, and Randu is standing right there, next to it before it takes off, the firing pins explode & he dies instantly.
Problem is, idiot podcast I follow to get 'insight' into this show has 2 morons who apparently don't even watch. BOTH of them were wondering why Randu was "shot", when he was clearly working for the Mule.
He wasn't. I had to rewatch it to make sure I wasn't crazy. How'd they miss such an obvious part of the scene?

That scene with Seldon and the Mule at the beginning of the latest episode is one of the best scenes I’ve seen in a long long time.

Just when you thought the Mule had Selden by the metaphorical short hairs, the tables turned. When Harry said he may have use for him, after tossing him like a rag doll, that was just epic.

It was awesome! When he got in his face and said, I see you stumbling around in my mind, told him like a freaking pimp. The mule knew he was in trouble for the first time ever.
Great stuff. Awesome show.

This season is turning out to be really good. Even when you think you're dealing with a "good" Cleon he goes and does something bad arse and horrible.

Brother Dusk woke and chose multi-planet genocide.
Brother Dawn: I’ve never seen my brother like that before.
I’m like, ya think?
I have no idea what Brother Day is doing week after week.
Mule looks more concerned every week.

One of my favorite scenes this season. Those 3 come in there like they hold all the cards and threaten Cleon and not only did he show them why he Empire but sent a warning to the Mule as well. The look on all their faces was priceless.
It reminded me of a great Eastwood quote:
"Ever notice how you come across somebody once in a while you shouldn't have f***ed with? That's me."

Didn’t know this week was the finale. Have to check and see if it drops tonight.

Holy smokes! What a finale. Did not see Cleon ending coming.
